About this listen

Two trained killers at a staggering altitude....

Raya Parker, the 14-year-old daughter of a senior US black-ops official, has vanished along the trail to Everest. Also unaccounted for are one of the loyal bodyguards assigned to protect her and an unassuming Nepali porter.

After a prolonged wait for their first contracted assignment, Jason King and Will Slater touch down in Nepal. They’re not exactly thrilled by the task - they assume it’s a routine opportunistic kidnapping. But Raya’s father, Aidan, has done brilliant work for his country, and if his family is at risk, he deserves the best.

Then their grip on the situation spirals violently out of control. Soon enough they’re deep in the throes of terror, battling savage hostiles and the brutality of the terrain itself, and they can’t figure out who the hell is behind any of it. As they ascend higher and higher on the long trail to Gokyo Ri, their energy saps, their bodies crumble, and panic intensifies....

What use is elite combat training when you can hardly breathe?

Worth a listen

This book is currently part of your Audible free listens so no risk of waisting a credit. Whilst not the best in the genre it’s not the worse and fills those waits until your favorite author has released their next edition. Can be a little too far fetched at times and predictable but as I’ve said no harm in listening when it’s free. I will download the next book.

Enjoyable listening

Remained interested and engaged throughout the book. Nice twist at the end which is good as all felt a little simple otherwise

fantastic

I loved this I listen in between doing my visits and I can't get enough it's nice to listen to when driving but keeps you gripped in the story. I don't get much time to actually read with my job so this is the next best thing

A Great Introduction

This book was a great introduction to the characters and the author. I loved the action and heart stopping excitement. Pure escapism and there's nothing wrong with that.

Contracts

Book 2 of the series and the writer have taken this storyline to another level of real-life action conflict. Providing the main character are not bulletproof just well-trained and additional willpower. look forward to the next book. 👍🏾👍🏾

very good

I was a little apprehensive after the first book as some of the sections with heavy conversation were painful. Alot of he said, she said. Unnecessary with the main characters as you pretty much know their voices after a few chapters if performed well. Didn't have this issue with this one. Kudos for fixing that.

Nothing is ever "happy ever after" !

It's great to hear a tale like this where people you think will see the end of the book DON'T
