More fiction than science, but easy entertainment
I’m not quite sure what genre this falls under - YA, I guess, and definitely more fiction than science. Die-hard SciFi fans and scientists better stay away - there are a lot of inconsistencies, some of which are quite funny.
The two main parts of the story are also a little disjointed and I actually preferred the first part about Cal’s journalistic efforts on Earth - her space adventure seemed just less well grounded.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed the whole thing - the narration by Amie Kienzle worked for me and it was an easy, entertaining listen - some suspended belief is necessary but that is usually the case with YA.

Sci Fi Thriller
This is a futuristic sci-fi drama, a reporter that will stop at nothing to get to the truth, and is investigating a series of missing people and her sister being one fo them. She and her family were told that Quinn her sibling was dead and has been cremated, but no one identified or viewed the body so Cal being Cal is not happy about that and does wonder if there is a conspiracy, and is she really dead. and why. She is approached and asked if she would like to go on a mission in search for life on other planets and after vigorous training, she goes and nothing prepares her for what she finds out, and can't believe who is behind it. Quite complex and I thought the narrator was at times sounded bland/ bored, but as it's not my preferred genre it made quite a change, I quite like some Sci-fi's but this I think for me was too way out.

Science fiction adventure
A neat science fiction story of two halves- the first half follows Cal through her journalism and the second half is an adventure into space.
I enjoyed the interactions with her sister and the rest of the family, as these felt very real.
Overall, a good romp through space and aliens.

Engaging futuristic sci fi mystery thriller
They told her that her sister was dead. They lied.
Calista Cameron is a news reporter intent on investigating the mysterious disappearances of several people across the United States in recent years. When her sister Quinn, also disappears under similar circumstances, Calista and her family are told that she is dead, her body cremated without allowing her family to identify her remains. Reeling from the death of her sibling, Cal is perplexed when she’s approached by an agent acting on behalf of the Vice President, who wants to recruit her for a covert NASA operation code named the ‘Stellix Mission’ in order to explore alien life in the Quintex Galaxy.
Agreeing to the mission despite her misgivings on what happened to the previous crew, Cal ventures out with her fellow operatives aboard the Stellix spaceship in search of intelligent life. Nothing can prepare her for what she finds. Not only is the President of the US in cahoots with a tyrant alien queen but her sisters disappearance was no accident..
Conspiracy Unleashed is a Sci Fi mystery thriller that will appeal to fans of government/alien conspiracies, exploring new galaxies, kickass heroines and aliens. Miss Danvers has managed to paint a convincing futuristic world, with appealing characters and lots of twists and turns to keep the reader engaged.
I received an free advanced Audible copy of Conspiracy Unleashed which was narrated by Amie Kienzle whose clear, concise delivery made it easy to differentiate between characters.

Enjoyable listen
I enjoyed this quirky story. It’s a thriller, what happened to her sister. Then Sci Fi, space journey & alien planets.
The story is easy to listen to, narrator was good & clear.
I’d definitely listen to more or read as I enjoyed the way it led and the little touch of romance between characters wasn’t too much.
An enjoyable listen

Interesting Story!
Intriguing tale with lots of twists and unexpected turns. Great characters. A bit unrealistic, but entertaining none the less. I found the narration to be monotone at times.
