Siobhan Davis™
About this listen
A new dark mafia romance from USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Siobhan Davis™.
Seducing the enemy was the goal—not falling for my mafia boss.
As a rookie spy, my first mission is to seduce the Irish mafia boss's brother and prove he is behind the threat to the mafioso in The Big Apple.
It's a dream job.
Except my new boss is sucking all the joy from my life. Don Joshua Accardi seems way too invested in my personal safety, and he's constantly scolding me for taking too many risks.
Gone is the friendly older guy I knew growing up. His ex's betrayal changed him. Now, Joshua is a cold, controlling man living his life by a rigid set of self-imposed rules.
He thinks he can push me around and I'll do his bidding like every other woman in the city.
But I enjoy pushing back and seeing him lose his cool is the ultimate high.
Sparks constantly fly, and it's not long before we cave to our insane chemistry.
Joshua has wormed his way into my heart, but the downside of loving a powerful man is getting noticed by his enemies.
Now, I'm a target and my mission just got a lot more dangerous.
This is book one of two and it cannot be listened to as a stand-alone. Recommended to listeners aged eighteen and older. This is a dark romance with mature content and themes. Refer to the content list on my website for more information.

Gripping!!
“Cold king of New York” is the first book of “The Accardi Twins duet”
“The cold king of New York” is a spin off from the Mazzone mafia series by Siobhan davis. Fans of the Mazzone mafia world will devour this story and love it as much as I did.
I could not contain my excitement for this spin off from the Mazzone mafia world. I had such high hopes for this story and Siobhan Davis exceeded my every expectation as she always does. I was immediately consumed by this world and these characters and I could not get enough.
Joshua Accardi is the don of his family along with his twin brother Caleb Accardi. Joshua has been burned by love in the past and vows to never go there again. Joshua is now a changed man he’s controlled, calculated and cold hearted.
Gia knew Joshua when she was younger. Gia has been tasked with an assignment to get close to their enemy and find any intel she can. Joshua has been signed as Gia’s handler to ensure her safety. Joshua and Gia try to keep their relationship strictly platonic and professional but neither of them can deny their attraction towards one and another.
Gia and Joshua’s chemistry was undeniable and I loved their romance.
This story has everything you will ever need. This is the thrill ride you’ve been waiting for. CKONY is packed with adventure, tension, suspense and angst. I cannot wait to listen to Caleb’s story in “cruel king of New York”
Narrators Sarah Puckett, Ramona Master and Noel Harrison gave outta sign performances bringing these amazing characters to life.
I can’t recommend this story enough.

I loved this book!
I cannot get enough of the Accardi Twins! They were delicious, addicting, and captivating. This mafia, age gap romance was fast-paced, sexy, action-packed, intriguing, and suspenseful. I was hooked from the beginning and I absolutely loved the story.
I enjoyed the narration by Noel Harrison, Ramona Master, and Sarah Puckett. I can't wait to hear more of their work and more from this world.

I've read quite a few mafia books by this author and this one might have jumped to the top of the list. It's part of a Duet so not all the threads will be tied up at the end of this and if you have triggers please do your research and stay safe. But I'll tell you this, I ate this up. It has twists, it has turns, it has heat it has angst. The audio is top tier in my opinion, and I cold hardly find it in me to press pause on this one.

Stunning
There’s just something about listening to the books by this author that just makes them feel even more real! The writing style just suits being read out loud! Pulling you in, making you feel a part of the story! Joshua is NEVER letting another women in, not after his cheating ex broke his heart, never!! Well that is until Gia starts to wrestle her way in. Can she break down his walls? Or will her under cover mission for the council get her killed before they can fall for each other?

I am hooked!! The story and plot was so engaging. In true Siobhan Davis fashion, it was beautifully written and of course, had my grasp in an instant. Gia is one tough cookie. The chemistry between Gia and Joshua was FIIIIRE!! Definitely looking forward to reading next book in this duet!!

Narration:
⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
I am soooo obsessed with duet style Narration and this was so fun to listen. Noel Harrison, Ramona Master and Sarah Puckett did such a fantastic job. I think my only thing is that I feel that Joshua would have sounded different. I did enjoy it though and wouldn't mind checking other audiobooks he did. I feel Noel's voice is so soothing and in some scenes, kind of intimidating, just kind of misplaced. But Ramona and Sarah did a stellar job.

Dark Mafia Romance
This dark mafia romance kept me hooked from start to finish. The story follows a rookie spy whose mission is to seduce the Irish mafia boss's brother but ends up falling for her intense and controlling boss, Don Joshua Accardi. Their fiery chemistry and his protective nature clash with her independent spirit, creating a captivating dynamic. As they give in to their attraction, her mission becomes dangerous, and she becomes a target. The emotional twists, suspense, and steamy romance made this story impossible to pause. It ends on a gripping cliffhanger, making me eager for the next book. Highly recommended for fans of mature, intense romances.

Loved Joshua's story
This is the first book in the Accardi Twins duet which is also a 2nd gen to the Mazzone Mafia series. You do not have to have read the Mazzone Mafia series first but it does help with knowing the different characters and also the ongoing storyline.
This duet is about the Accardi Twins Joshua and Caleb, and this particular book centres on Joshua and Gia. I always know when I pick up a Siobhan Davis book that it is guaranteed to be a page-turner and this is no different. The chemistry between J & G is potent especially as they both fight it and constantly engage in verbal sparring before they give in. I also love that we are revisiting the characters that we met in the Mazzone Mafia series and seeing how they have changed. The storyline in this picks up from the MM series and it is explosive, especially that ending!
Please check TW before listening.
I love audio books that are duet narrated like this. They give so much more to a story (especially the steamy scenes!) and the narrators of this audio book more than do the story justice. Looking forward to listening to Calebs story now.

First book in a duet brought to life
The opening book in a fantastic mafia duet from Siobhan Davis and after a brutal betrayal years before, Don Joshua Accardi is definitely the cold-hearted King of the title until he meets his match in a woman who is more than a match for him. He’s known Gia Bianchi since they were children but when he’s forced to work closely with her, he begins to see her in a new light.
This book has it all. Twists and turns. Intrigue and suspense. Loyalty and betrayal. Full of drama and secrets The Cold King of New York had me absorbed from the opening chapters. The relationship between the hero and heroine was complicated and slowburn and their chemistry scorching making for a romance that was so hot but at the same time touching. Gia was such a complex character, playing a strategic role in what was traditionally a man’s world and doing it on her own and some parts of what she goes through might make for uncomfortable reading but it's nothing too overly dark. An added pleasure is the appearance of familiar characters and while this duet can be read as a standalone, personally I’d recommend reading the Mazzone series, so you have an understanding of who the characters are and the various relationships between them.
Multiple narration was provided by Noel Harrison, Ramona Master and Sarah Puckett and while Noel put on a great performance, and I loved the sound of his voice and wouldn’t hesitate to listen to him in any future books, I just felt he made the 27 year old Joshua sound old, if Joshua had been in his forties then his voice would’ve been perfect. Ramona Master was a new to me narrator but her performance as Gia ran the full gamut of emotions so kudos to her and as for Sarah Puckett, her narrations never disappoint. Together, these three narrators made this audiobook an enjoyable listening experience.
