About this listen
Harry, Lucas and Guy were best friends when they were kids. But then they made a terrible mistake and their friendship shattered, forcing them to cut all ties. Years later, a man’s head is discovered in the woods, skinned and with the tongue cut out.
The police call on Harry, a psychologist, to help with the case, and when it turns out the victim is his childhood friend Guy, old skeletons begin to surface. Then one of Harry’s clients goes missing.
Forced into a desperate hunt to save the boy, Harry finds himself closing in on a shocking secret, a secret someone will do anything to keep safe....

Read too fast
I found that Mark Meadows read the story too fast as if he couldn't wait to get onto the next sentence. I feel it spoils the listen.

A surprise in store
This one will have you theorising and probably being wrong at least twice.
I was right about some things and so wrong about others, this is the stuff that thrillers are made of.
We need more like this which is probably unlikely since I just finished the second Harry Hope story and he's decided he wants to be a pastry chef so bye bye Harry Hope,I shall miss you unless Ms Carver has a change of heart and writes you another story which I truly hope she does.
This is worth it's purchase though, it's a fantastic story and so is it's follow up ''Deep Black Lies'' .

Not her best work.
Found the name ‘Everyday Joe’ very irritating. Not my favourite, usually hard to put down.
