Good read
Lots of self-help books out there that are not that informative, but this book is brilliant.

It is a user-friendly, comprehensive guide to emotional regulation. The chapter on what makes fear and anxiety different was fascinating

Really good book
Very readable and I started following the lessons right away after the first few chapters. I didn't realize how powerful CBT can be.

This is a good guide for someone who doesn't know anything about CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and is curious to learn a bit about it

very dry
I bought this audio book as I have been struggling with anxiety for a while and wanted to do abit of self help whilst waiting for an appointment for CBT. When I first put the audiobook on I instantly noticed the author/speaker whistle whilst saying certain words which pierced my ears every time I heard it. In the end I turned it off and never made it past the first chapter. Couldn't listen to 3 hours of that.
I'm very sorry, I'm sure the information given would have been useful but I am triggered by certain sounds when I'm feeling overwhelmed and this just made me feel worse.

A waste of time
I'm six chapters in and so far there has been zero CBT. Six chapters of descriptions of what causes anxiety, depression & trauma but not a single word of what to do to address it.
