About this listen

A secret society of immortals lives within the human world. Kane is one of them, a Sensor who experiences emotional energy through touch. But despite his good looks and easygoing personality, Kane lives a solitary life. Unlike other Sensors, he is unnaturally hypersensitive. Fate throws a curveball when a woman's life is placed in Kane's hands. He is suddenly faced with making a choice, and each comes with a consequence that will wreck him forever. Time is not on his side. Will this woman be his salvation or his ruination?

A short love story

This is my least favourite of the 36/37 Dannika Dark books.
It's not rubbish but compared to the other books it just isn't as gripping. It's a nice easy listen and sweet story though

Tragically romantic

Any additional comments?

Kane is the kind of man who keeps his life simple and secluded. His gift as a Sensor is too much for him to handle and his relationships with others suffer because of it. When he comes face to face with a human killer who specializes in the brutality of women, there is only one thing he can do. That action sparks off a chain of events that lead him to somewhere he thought he’d never go and that isn’t just Breed jail.

This insular part of the series is Kane’s story, and it is beautifully told, highly emotional, and really brings Kane into the world that Dark has created. The romance is laced with tragedy which really brings out the tears but it is beautiful, nonetheless.
