What would you do if someone you knew had turned into a zombie?
This story came to me many years after watching the 1974 zombie movie—The Living Dead—at the Manchester Morgue. That movie was the first horror movie that left me scared to move growing up...The living dead walk the earth and only one small town stands in their way.
In Clifton Falls, a farming company's risky experiment unleashes a chemical fertilizer that brings the dead back to life. When the first zombie attacks, two women out walking in the forest become infected and the virus spreads quickly.
Police officers are called to a house where a woman who died months earlier is seen walking and the local hospital begins to fill with the dead.
With the undead growing in numbers, will the officers be able to contain them before they reach the cemetery?
Packed with extreme horror moments and traces of humour, and with characters that may remind you of people you know, this story will take your imagination on a ride to the town of Clifton Falls, where you will want to save the residents from a new enemy that wants to eat them.

"Fantastic"
This book is incredible and the story line is everything I ask for in a horror book. Writer really pulls you into the story as if your there to. Perfect writing.

that cliffhanger?!
Yet again, Lee creates a great story, I loved the way this story takes it's twists and turns. I definitely think the story was done great justice by being made into an audiobook. Andy showed a lot of enthusiasm in his reading of Clifton Falls. Like Stars Project, it was like walking into a movie world, the characters are believable, and as I listened, I could visualise them. The details he goes into with each chapter shows, even more, the depths of his love for the characters; he put a lot of care into the story. He really does make you hate some characters, for me it has to be Chris he was swarmy bugger just a disrespectful little sod. It's not just zombies popping up everywhere run for your lives. From the bank robbers to the victims of the horrors he bestows upon them. He went all out, and I loved that instead of your zombies randomly rising from the dead. You got a bit of a realistic notion with the experimental fertiliser that causes this infection and the gradual shitstorm that follows and tears through the town. I mean Blake is such a likeable character he agrees to use the fertiliser because he just wants to do better by his business. Instead, he ends up causing an outbreak of killer dead people so yeah, there's that. But he does pull through and unlike most people who would bury their heads in the sand. He tries to do the right thing, and help the police get to the bottom of the situation before it escalates. I loved the humour mixed in that is woven through the story as well. I mean, seriously, it had me in stitches in parts, although I do worry as my sense of humour can be messed up sometimes. I also love the realistic relationship between Karen and Blake and how supportive his wife is through everything, you do not see love like that these days. The bond between Jason and Wayne was also one I enjoyed and really broke my heart to see how the story progress. Mike has to be my favourite, the chief seems to be the only one willing to investigate and push to get answers. Just a good cop who wants to help people rather than brush the situation under the rug. Have to admit I enjoyed Mike giving the arrogant scientist a hard time. Every twist, turn, and death takes you on a journey that involves atmosphere and suspense. A marriage horror and science is gripping and heartbreaking to see the affects of the situation. The ending was horrible but leaves the whole thing on a cliffhanger, which left me swearing and wanting more.
Hey, I may be a little bypass, but I enjoy Lee's work, and I think you will too.
