Summary

Just call me fate's fool.

I've given advice to half the town through my weekly advice column, but I can't seem to take any of those great gems and apply them to my own life. Namely: Just get over him, already!

I've spent two years pining after an arrogant playboy of an alpha, watching him flirt with every unattached omega in town. All the while, my wolf has been howling at me to do something, to make this right.

Because, that playboy is my fated mate.

And at long last, he's turned his attention back to me, chatting me up, acting like we never shared the most magical night of my life. I never thought he could be so cruel.

But now, I realize the truth - he's not trying to be an asshole.

He just doesn't remember me.

And I don’t know what to do about that.

Should I guard my heart...or give him a second chance?

Welcome to Blackwater, Montana - a small town with a big personality, where shifters and humans coexist. Claiming My Enemy is a dual point of view, shifter mpreg audiobook with a guaranteed happy ending. The fourth in this series, this audiobook can also be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

A darker entry in the series.

I've read a bunch of shifter stories by numerous authors, but this is the first one to address the serious problem of alcohol addiction. I have called previous volumes in this series cozy and hot. Well this one is certainly hot, but it can never be described as cozy. Nash has a drinking problem coupled with the personality of a playboy who chases, beds and leaves every omega around. Unfortunately, one of those was Holden who is actually his fated mate. Holden fell hard, but Nash doesn't even remember their encounter and interacts with Holden as if he is a stranger. There is a high angst factor here as Holden tries to deal with the rejection and all the feelings that inspires. Inevitably, as this is a romance and will be a HEA, Nash does remember and is revolted by what he has become. The rest of the book describes these two trying to learn to forgive another and yourself, rebuild a trust that has been broken, overcome a serious addiction and become a family. The saddest book in this series at the beginning, with a character initially not so easy to like. I wasn't sure I would buy Nash's regret and redemption, but I totally did. Another fine entry in this series. Austin Jay gives a superb performance here and captures everything I felt when I read the book version. All the heartache, anger, regret and finally emotional healing.

Enjoyable shifters story!

Story: A standalone story in the Blackwater Pack series. I didn't read the previous stories and it did not impact my enjoyment of this one. I liked the overall feel of the story and the MCs, but I felt as if some of the plot points and emotions could use some more depth and bearing in the story. In general though, it was an enjoyable experience and a good wolf shifters story.
Performance: A very good voice for this one! I liked how the narrator carried through all the emotions and how it matched the story.

amazing!

This was absolutely amazing!! It captured me from chapter one and I couldn't stop listening. I loved the plot, I thought that it was different and very interesting. The characters were realistic and deep, I was able to connect with them and care for them from the beginning. I was rooting for them and I loved how much they grew and changed. I really really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it. I loved the narrator too. He did a fantastic job bringing the story to life.

Holden and Nash

Nash is a Love em and leave them 1 night stand Alpha, then he meets Holden supposedly for the first time, but it turns out they had an encounter 2 years ago and Holden can't forget him and Nash doesn't remember, so it is fun to watch the back and forth, between them, was a great story, and good narration

Arrogant Alpha!

Nash is a very successful Alpha, from Korean parents who were not happy with his choices. That might be why he was a big jerk with other men, specially with his mate Holden. Holden hates his mate, who doesn’t even remember him. When they meet again, their attraction is too strong. It’s a good story, with a repentant mate and lots of love. I loved their happily ever after. Narration on point!

So good!

As the series continues, every book got more complex and interesting. Nash and Holden's story is about second chances and forgiveness, so there are on it many strongly emotional moments in between romance and hot scenes. Even if it is a series, each new installment on the series can be read as standalone, but I strongly recommend reading it in order to fully enjoy the twists and turns in the plot and the wonderful characters. Mr Jay's narration and general performance is great with his charisma, energy and amazing voice acting. So good!

A great story

A great story! I'm not sure if it was enemies to lovers or second chances, but it was definitely one devastated omega and an oblivious alpha. I really enjoyed the rollercoaster of emotions that I was taken on in this story. It was great to see two different shifters come together like these two did.

The only reason this wasn't a 5 star was because I didn't understand the entire alcoholism aspect. If shifters weren't affected by it, how could one be an alcoholic? How could one drink enough to be tipsy?

a great yet sad second chance shifter romance. I really liked the depth of the characters and felt for both Holden and Nash as they face the hurt they feel, their past connection and their future going forward
there are a great range of characters and this one introduces the next one so well I can't wait to read it!!

Awwww

This one just hit me in the feels. I loved the characters and seeing a relationship built out of heartbreak and misunderstood feelings was beautiful. I really enjoyed this story and for me the narration really added so much.
