About this listen
From the admiralty to the miner's strike, from the Battle of Britain to the Nobel Prize, Churchill oversaw some of the most important events the world has ever seen. Roy Jenkins faithfully presents these events, while also managing to convey the contradictions and quirks in Churchill's character.
In-depth analysis and brilliant historical research make this a magnificent one-volume biography of an extraordinary life. Churchill is packed with insights that only a fellow politician could convey.

Excellent
A brisk yet vivid portrait of the life of the great man is colourfully narrated by John Sessions, including surprisingly accurate impersonations of Lloyd-George, Attlee, Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill himself.

Too condensed
This book has been too condensed and the performance is too intrusive and overacted. Do not buy this abridged version of Jenkins book but search for the unabridged version - also on Audible. 30 hours of brilliant writing about a fascinating man
