About this listen
Do you find it difficult to hear God in this noisy, distracting world? Do you feel like you could do more if you could truly relax? Do you think prayer would be more satisfying if you could focus on what you're trying to say to God and not be distracted by the material world? Meditation is the key to gaining focus in a world that seems to fight every attempt at focus. It will help you quiet your mind, find peace, and be fully present in prayer. Many of my clients were uncomfortable with the concept of meditation at first because their concept of meditation centered around Eastern religions. But that's not the case. The practice of meditation has been practiced by Christians since the beginning of Christianity. Monks and nuns realized early on the value of meditation. They valued it so much that some of them adopted vows of silence, so they could spend all their waking moments in prayer. Christian meditation will help you quiet your mind and let that silence bring you closer to God each day. You will finally be able to pray with all the focus and devotion you've always dreamed of. You will strengthen your relationship with Christ. And you'll finally be able to find quiet regardless of what is happening around you!

Beware not Christian
Meditate on the Bible. Emptying your mind and reciting a mantra is Buddhist. Choose a Psalm or the Beatitudes.
