Summary
The book led to a book tour, in the course of which, Susan reconnected with family and friends whom she had cut herself off from. She had given up on romance, but at the second reading of her tour she encountered the man who had sold her his house 24 years earlier, Dennis Stock, a world-famous photographer. Despite her many qualms about age and intimacy, they fell in love.

Resonant and moving
Like catching up with the wisest and funniest old friend who is good for your soul. A book full of honesty, brilliantly crafted storytelling and poignancy. Such a treat to find out what happened next. Is one more too much to hope for?

Happy endings do happen
Susan, if you read this I am so happy that you finally let yourself be loved. Childhood trauma in whatever form it takes is so damaging and I'm so very happy to learn that you have let yourself be loved.

Excellent sequel novel
An excellent sequel to Chosen by a Horse (read that first) funny, poignant and relatable for any woman experiencing the menopause, and who loves the company of their horses, dogs and cats.

Disappointing
Sorry Susan but this should have joined your pile of rejections. I loved the first book about Lay me down but this is not for me…..Sooooo boring.
