About this listen
Chase Baker, the Renaissance man, is back in a sexy, thrilling action-adventure from best-selling author, Vincent Zandri.
Chase, seeking inspiration for a new book, and a big pay-off, stumbles onto the opportunity of a lifetime: to use his PI and archaeological sandhogging skills to seek out an aircraft hidden deep in a remote part of the Amazon jungle. But the aircraft in question isn't any old airplane. Legend claims it's an ancient flying machine called the Golden Condor - an intergalactic spaceship delivered to the Incas by aliens more than 1000 years ago.
There's a catch, of course. Hostile tribal natives, in collaboration with a band of Tupac Amaru revolutionary terrorists, will stop at nothing to murder Chase, his team of explorers, and his beautiful literary agent, before they reach the Condor. And if the terrorists don't kill them, then the writhing, creeping jungle almost certainly will.
But in typical Chase Baker style, once he sets his sights on the prize, nothing will stand in his way. They are embarking on a mission that, if it succeeds, will change the way historians view the ancient Inca civilization - and alter society's beliefs about early man and the heavens above.

A Fun Adventure
A fast moving adventure,, could have been better, a jungle trek to find a golden plane.... but the person who hired him magically appears when he gets there... why did he send Chase if he knew where it was?? Overall not a bad book if you want entertaining and can overlook a few plot flaws

Any additional comments?
This is a fun book with great, larger than life characters and a fast paced King Solomon's Mines type adventure. Author Chase Baker and his recently impoverished, but sexy, literary agent, Lesley, set off for Peru with two companions. They have all been employed by a rich but dying man to find the location marked on a map drawn by the man's father more than half a century before. Of course, it all goes wrong ...
Chase Baker, archaeologist, explorer and author in search of a story is telling the tale as it happens and so narrator Andrew B.Wehrien becomes Chase for this reading. Fast talking with a nice sardonic expression, he delivers a fine performance of the adventurer himself as well as voicing the other protagonists with nicely differentiated speech (although one did have a most peculiar accent). His performance added to the light-hearted excitement of the story. All jolly good fun.
My thanks to the right's holder of this Chase Baker story, who gifted me a copy via Audiobook Boom. I listened to it in one sitting enjoying the sexy silliness and swashbuckling adventure enormously. Just the thing to brighten a miserable morning. Or evening. Or weekend ... Whatever.
As I said earlier, a good, fun story, well narrated in technicolour. Enjoy!
