Summary
Meet the men of Manning Grove, three small-town cops and brothers, who meet the women who will change the rest of their lives. This is Matt’s story....
As a former Marine, Matt Bryson has dealt with PTSD ever since coming home from the Middle East. He finds himself fortunate to be able to return to his job as a cop at the local police department with his brothers Max and Marc.
Dr. Carly Stephens works hard as an obstetrician at the local hospital, struggling to pay off her medical school loans, financially support her elderly parents, and save money to adopt a baby. Unable to have children, she still longs for one of her very own.
Instantly attracted to the "dictator doctor," Matt finds Carly easily brings him to his knees both emotionally and physically. What starts out only as a convenient sexual relationship turns into a whole lot more when dealing with their pasts and their future. Especially since Matt doesn’t ever want children.
Matt and Carly find themselves on a passionate and emotional journey that can either bring them together or rip them apart.
Note: This book can be read as a stand-alone and has an HEA ending.
Trigger warning: This audiobook includes a main character dealing with PTSD.

WOW! be still my beating heart!!!
Jeanne St James you are killing me!!
the first chapter had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my face (I was in a coffee shop at the time!). later you had me in tears for so many other reasons than joy.
Beautifully written and about such a heart wrenching subject!!
This one totally shredded my heart but also put it back together with so much love, laughter and family devotion!!!
I fell in love with Matt and Carly so quickly it was ridiculous!!
I didn't think you could best the first 2 but you did it with with one.
my favourite so far - not only does Matt get his story told but poor Teddy does to!!!
I'm so going to miss the Brysons.
the narration was perfection!

Matt ❤️
He is the younger of the Bryson brothers, back from too many tours and serving with his brothers. There is more angst in this one, Matt has PTSD and can't seem to find his way but he will have help. I enjoyed his sexy times, no holds barred. Teddy keeps cracking me up. And as a bonus we get a novella with his hea. Great series that have come to an end. I loved it and will miss it!
Great narration and storytelling. 👍🏼

Brilliant storyline, highly recommend.
Such a great direction for this series to go in plus it deals with real issues. Written so very well, Jeanne has captured so much realism and emotion in this book. Great narration from both Ava and Jason.

Matt. Enough Said!
I have listened to all three Brothers in Blue and have loved each one for different reasons. There is something really special about Matt and his story. While the story is full of passion, heat and spice, I loved it for the complexity of Matt. Matt has returned to civilian life after several tours as a marine. His experiences have scarred him, and as a result has given him low self esteem and a severe case of PTSD. Carly is the obstetrician who delivered Matt's niece and has caught his eye. Carly is a strong woman, has dealt with life's difficulties and is trying to get herself in a position so she can fulfill her dreams. Is Matt part of that dream? Jeanne St James again gives us a story of healing and love, with family and caring. The series is a tribute to our veterans and instills a sense of honor and gives us an awareness of how difficult their sacrifice is. I loved Matt and Carly and the entire Bryson family! Giving us the bonus of Teddy's story is just like the cherry on a sundae! What a hot and steamy treat! And Adam...what a man! Loved it!
The continuity of narration by Jason Clarke and Ava Lucas really solidifies the story of this family. I love that when I turn on the book, the voices are consistent and have become the thread of the series. Clarke has a voice that flows with sensuality, and he gives Matt a little desperation with the seriousness of his problems. Carly needs a woman who is smart and understanding. She is domineering at times, and Lucas gives Carly all these qualities. With the complexity of these characters, the narration comes through with all the emotional pull that tugs at your heart and makes you root for the couple!
