Summary

One secret could destroy a family.
One lie could save them.

The brilliant prequel to The Boy Who Saw, a gripping thriller from Sunday Times bestseller Simon Toyne, featuring the enigmatic Solomon Creed.

A stranger
Solomon Creed is an outsider with an unknown past, travelling through a remote part of Texas. He doesn’t look for trouble – but trouble finds him.

A family
At a roadside diner, he runs into a worn-down family whose ancestral land and home is about to be auctioned. But when Solomon suspects it’s worth a lot more than they think he decides to take things into his own hands.

A secret
As Solomon races to find hard evidence of the land’s true value, he uncovers a dark truth – hidden for generations – that changes everything. But how far is he willing to go to save a family from potential ruin? And how far will others go to stop him?

Critic reviews

Praise for The Boy Who Saw: "Wow, what a book. I thought it was powerful and innovative, a riveting blend of action and quest that takes the thriller into territory where thrillers rarely venture." (Andrew Taylor, best-selling author of The American Boy and The Ashes of London)

"Tense, nail-biting and exciting. The Boy Who Saw is a heart-in-the-mouth race against time thriller and I couldn't put it down. Solomon Creed is one hell of a hero and Simon Toyne is one hell of a writer." (C L Taylor)

"Tense, intriguing, mysterious...everything you could want in a thriller. Toyne has done it again." (Paul Finch, best-selling author of Strangers)

I’ve now read all three books in the Solomon creed trilogy. I have lived them. But feel there needs to be a conclusion mr toyne please. When’s the finale?

Great Short story

I've read the actual books, but loved listening to them too. The narrator is excellent. This short story is brilliant, would recommend the series, this is the second in the series, the other 2 are much longer books.

Disappointing Narrator

I really liked this story as it was a nice follow on from the first book, but I found the narrator hard to follow especially with his pronunciation.

Poor story

Having liked a number of the authors previous titles, I thought I’d give this book a go. Right from the off, got the feeling that this was book that had no enthusiasm, felt it was simply written to fill a commitment. The story was boring and bland. Also the narrator was shockingly poor and grating, will definitely good back to reading my own book.
