Summary

Can three broken pieces make a whole?

Josiah Evans is the orphan who lost both his parents. He's sweet, shy, and all heart. He wants nothing more than to be loved.

Mateo Sanchez is the son of a gang leader. He's seen it all, and never hesitates to do what needs to be done, no matter what it is.

Tristan Croft is the wealthy attorney who clawed his way up from the bottom to rule his own world. He'll never depend on anyone but himself again.

Three men who couldn't be more different and yet, as their lives intersect, they find an uncommon balance that calms the storms inside each of them, and ignites fires hotter than they ever thought imaginable.

Told in three parts and spanning over 10 years, Broken Pieces is a journey of healing for three fragmented souls, finding love in the unlikeliest of places - with each other.

Wow

This is a beautiful storyline. With a heart wrenching twist that had me sitting on the edge of my seat hoping everyone would get their happily ever after. With good strong characters and pure feelings this book was wonderful. A brilliant performance from Jack.

A beautiful story

I loved this book, it's both beautiful and heartbreaking. Although the three main characters take on so much, over a span ten years, we still finish on a happy ending. The narrator does an excellent job of taking the reader through an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. I highly recommend this book.

Incredible story.

Three contrasting characters fitting together like a perfect life puzzle. I have always wondered if it is possible to have a three way relationship. If you are ready to ride this emotional roller coaster, go ahead.

Three work beter than two

Wow, my heart broke and glued back again after listening to this book. Josiah, Mateo and also Tristan are all men with a heavy load to carry from hard childhoods to hard teenage years.
I appreciate the grid of the telling, no sunshine and roses. Hard work to become the imptoved version of themselves, eventough there parts of themselves which they find hart to look at. Under all the grid and grime Mateo and Tristan have good hearts, not to forget Jodiah, peraisting in finding the upside, even tough with babysteps. I found the dynamic between Josiah, Mateo amd Tristan believable and how it shifts and changes depending on the time in their live and who is seeing whom.
The side characters brought the much needed air into the tale.

Narration wise, I think this was my first listen by Jack Dupont. For me he was great for this story. he brought the right atmosphere to this heavy hitting book.

I would advise to read the blur before buying due to subjects that could be triggering for some.

too long too dramatic

I liked their love story and how the three of them began to fit within each other. The problem for me is that from 10 hours 9 is just whining about the same things over and over again, issues, and way too much drama and then 1 hour of amazing chemistry. Every single character has the most dramatic life, they are all depressed, they all close themselves, they all have sad pasts, they all think they don't deserve anything, it's the same character with the same personality and sooooo many problems and drama that the entire book gives anxiety.

it's so long and so repetitive that after chapter 10, I began jumping 2-3 chapters at the same time and noticed I missed nothing important.
