Summary
Music was his first love. Hers was the lanky boy from summer camp with a beautiful voice and starlit green eyes.
Isabelle and Roman thought they’d be together until the end of time. Then fate proved an orphan from the West Coast couldn’t have a future with a wealthy New Yorker hiding the scars of an abusive home. Five years after their hearts are broken, fate strikes again when they’re reunited as a waitress headlining a bar-band, and a successful rockstar kicking off his first tour. Even though the past nearly destroyed them both, the attraction is stronger than ever, and Roman refuses to let a second chance with the girl he promised to love forever slip away.
But picking at old wounds proves to be dangerous when the reasons they were driven apart as kids won’t stay buried forever.

Loved the narration
The narration is this story is fantastic. Sarah and Michael brought the characters to life and helped keep my interest. This story was not one of my favorites and if not for the narration I may have stopped reading. However, I do encourage others to listen and enjoy this story because it may be one of their favorites.

Heartbreaking past, second chance romance
This is an angsty second chance romance. I loved how Belle/Isabelle and Roman were when they were young. The author made them real- I loved that even though Roman was rich, he had issues that made him transcend the "silver spoon" image. And Belle, her history was just so heartbreaking. Together, they healed each other with young but true love. But the world interfered and they broke apart.
Fast forward years later and they meet again, this time with Belle as a lounge singer and bartender and Roman as a rockstar about the blast into stardom. Now they need to see if their young love can reignite even with the challenges of fame bring more obstacles to their world. Other characters also bring additional angst (I hate Roman's father) and really, it just was a bit too much heartbreak for me. But that's a personal preference. Additionally, I hate that they both became really promiscuous and though both were holding on to the memory of their love, it just dilutes the love in my mind. I know, again, this is my personal preference and i even acknowledge that it's more realistic written this way since they were separated for years. But regardless, after they were together, even with the angst, it was fulfilling to see them get their HEA, one they sorely deserved.
The narrators were good. Sarah Puckett has such a beautifully smooth voice and is perfect for this angsty story. Michael Johnson was new to me but he did a good job. There were also songs in the audiobook which was really cool. The only thing is that the songs sounded really far away- not as clear as the narrators, which was a little jarring.

Sad and broken
The story of Roman & Bella will pull in . Rick boy Poor girl meet at a band camp. They become fast friends. They lost touch after that. They meet again 5 years later. Do they still have the flame.
Michael is a new narrator and was amazing with Sarah. They did a great job bringing these 2 to life

Good listen
Both Roman & Bell are broken but in different ways. So of course they would be drawn together from a young age. As the years go on, their love never dies.
This was my first book by Jennifer Ann and I’m not disappointed. It was a heartbreaking beautiful story.
Sarah & Michael did a great job narrating!

A Second Chance Romance
Broken Little Melodies is a well-written New Adult, second chance novel. The concept of the storyline is excellent, divided into two parts. The first when the main characters, Isabelle (Bella) and Roman, meet at a music camp, where friendship and love blossoms between a rich boy and a poor girl. The second part is five years later, where Roman is a Rockstar. Bella and Roman have to deal with issues from the past and present. Overall the story is engaging, and the characters have a pretty sizzling connection.
The dual narration by Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman is outstanding. They capture the characters' personalities and moods perfectly, bringing them to life. I really enjoyed their performance. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Lasting young love
I loved this book and how it was written. I love how much ti.w Jennifer Ann spent the time to develop the relationship between Roman and Bell as they got older. I was very surprised when Bell's secret was revealed at the end. As always Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson did an awesome job with the narration.
