Summary

Light up your heart this holiday season as two old flames get a second chance at love....

Billionaire businessman Adam Bosch decides to bring a date to the family Hanukkah party this year in hopes of getting a break from his mother’s matchmaking. Trouble is, his busy schedule hasn’t left much room for romance. Since he’s always remained cordial with his high school sweetheart Sara Schwartz, he gets back in touch and asks her to be his plus one. And if he’s being honest, it’s a good excuse to see her again...since he’s never quite forgotten her.

Sara’s a successful designer with a close circle of friends and a thriving business—so what if her love life is nonexistent? When Adam resurfaces and asks her to pose as his date after all these years, she thinks it’s a ridiculous idea. But he’s charming, persuasive...and too cute to resist. Before long, they rediscover the spark that first brought them together. Will their holi-date turn into lasting love?

Female narrator is irritating

Story is alright but the tone of the female narrator is extremely annoying and made it hard for me to finish

predictable but heart warming

the other reviews are spot on with the females voice, but you get used to it. very predictable story line but heart warming. Will they or won't they?

Cheerful if predictable cosy treat

Great option for an escapist, relaxing short read. A little heteronormative but in the tradition of Christmas stories and rom-coms I expect that still.

🎧 Sara and Adam 🎧

Childhood best friends who lost touch when Adam's family's finances rocketed.
A sweet, lighthearted, second-chance/fake-relationship Hannukah story.
The female narrator was too nasal for my tastes, but still easy enough to listen to.

Loved it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, just like I did with the other two included in this series. Great romance! Will definitely recommend to have a read.

Hmm…

I’m confused - in the first book ‘Eight Winter Nights’, Sarah and Elliot were CLEARLY a couple! Now in this novella, they’re just very good friends? This is not properly explained or resolved in this tale, which makes the underlying story a bit weird…

But as this is an Audible Plus title, it’s worth listening to. It’s not as in-depth as the first story and I hope that the final one is better than this. (Actually, I hope that there’s a 4th one, because - Tamara)!

Predictable, obviously, but a lovely side story to the characters we knew from the first.

Lovely easy listen. Sweet and short though predictable, as expected for such a book. Looking forward to the next one.
