Summary
The seventh novel in Julia Quinn's globally beloved and best-selling Bridgerton Family series, set in Regency times and now a series created by Shondaland for Netflix. This is Hyacinth's story: she's all grown up and ready to cause havoc.....
All the ton agree: there is no one quite like Hyacinth Bridgerton. Fiendishly smart, devilishly outspoken and - according to some, particularly Gareth St. Clair - probably best in small doses. But there's something about her - something charming and vexing - that grabs one and won't quite let go.
Gareth and Hyacinth cross paths at the annual - and annually discordant - Smythe-Smith musicale. To Hyacinth, Gareth's every word seems a dare, and she offers to help him out with a knotty inheritance problem he's facing. However, as they delve into the mysterious St Clair history, they discover that the answers they seek lie not in the past - but in each other; and that there is nothing as simple - or as complicated - as a single, perfect kiss.
Critic reviews
"Julia Quinn's Bridgerton books take all of the classic tropes we know and love...and gives them a thoroughly modern twist. I can't focus on anything else." (Stylist)

Another sweet story
another heart warming story by Julia Quinn beautifully read by Rosalyn Landor. Although I wasn't initially engaged with this story, it eventually captured my attention and the end was particularly fun and poniant. A good listen all round.

so fun!
this was so fun and that's one of my best descriptions of the book. After reading some quite heavy books, I wanted a lighter romance and the Bridgerton series I'm slowly reading my way through. will always make me feel happy. The family feels like home and its like a warm hug every time I get to visit them. I loved the plot to this book and the romance was perfect in my opinion. Such a pleasure to read.

Enjoyable, Engaging, Delightful
Another great story from Julia Quinn. Hyacinth is the youngest Bridgerton sibling, and her story is as fun and engaging as all the others in the Bridgerton series.
Gareth Sinclair, the grandson of Lady Danbury no less, estranged from his father, meets the bubbly Hyacinth and together they set about solving a Sinclair family mystery. Along the way they discover more than they bargained for.
I found this to be an enjoyable and delightful audiobook. The characters were believable, likeable and nuanced. I was completely entertained by the budding connection and chemistry between the two main characters, and I always find Rosalyn Landor's narration absolutely compelling and perfect for all the different characters that appear in Ms Quinn's book.
An amazing audio experience, that I would absolutely recommend to lovers of regency romance.
