About this listen
From USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn comes a witty friends to lovers . . . turns . . . enemies to lovers romance.
Everly Plum is delighted to be heading up the Bridesmaid for Hire program at Magical Moments by Maggie. And when Hardy Hopper, one of their billionaire investors, approaches Everly for help with his friends' wedding, she's more than happy to step in. But Hardy has an extra assignment for her: his ex-girlfriend will be the maid of honor opposite his role as best man, and he wants Everly's help getting her back.
There's only one problem: Everly may have a tiny crush on the dashing businessman. But despite the way Hardy makes her stomach flutter, she's determined to prove herself, both as a bridesmaid and as a matchmaker. That is, until she finds her crush turning into real feelings. Not to mention, Hardy can't help but notice how well he clicks with Everly, and before he knows it, he's not looking for his ex's attention anymore.
But even after their simmering attraction finally rises to the surface, they will have to contend with meddling friends, poor timing, and professional boundaries—and the risk that no one might get a second chance after all.

Farce with a lot of heart and a lot of fun
Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoore are clearly having a lot of fun with the farcical storytelling. Megan Quinn is brilliant at peppering a delicate lovestory with moments of utter ridicule. Perfectly balanced and time well spent.

Another smash from MQ
Meghan Quinn just doesn’t miss. Her stories are unrivalled in humour, spice and all things feel good! Narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke was, as always, unbelievably well done. Their execution of the jokes throughout this book was nothing short of perfection. The spicy scenes were beautifully done. HOT is an understatement. These two are in my top 5 narrators and the squeal I let out when I found out they were narrating this long awaited book was something that only dogs could hear. Highly recommend.

Save the birds, read a book!
Jason and Samantha did a phenomenal job bringing Hardy and Everly's story to life.
They were AMAZING. The banter was timed perfectly, the playfulness of the characters came through clear as day, and their energy for this performance made all the difference.
I adored Hardy and Everly.
They were funny, playful, and hilariously awkward at times. I must confess that Hardy was not at all who I had conjured in my head. His character surprised me.
I thoroughly enjoyed how their relationship changed throughout the book, the way that they first became co-conspirators, and then the best of friends.
The slow burn in this book was unreal.
From the very beginning you could feel the longing radiating from Everly, and I must admit her inner monologue was very entertaining at times.
Of course, their story wouldn't be complete without some sort of misunderstanding. That part was a little rough but the grovel was satisfying *rubs hands together while evilly smirking*.
I think it's important to also note the cameos that were made and the fact that Reginald Hopper was still an insufferable plague to humanity.
If you are after a fun book with a dash of drama and a heaping pile of awkward, then this book is a must-have.

A fun lsiten
I was really in the mood for some lightheartedness, some comedy, something that was gonna make me laugh. And this book checked all the boxes.
I had so much fun listening to it. It is a slow burn, and when I say that, things start heating up at the 75% mark. You have been warned. I think I would have liked to have seen them connecting a little bit sooner, but I liked the setup for it. We have the prologue and then skip back in time, and I loved seeing how our characters got to that point.
It’s hard to pick key scenes because there are some hilarious moments, but there is one where they were in disguises and it was brilliant, a tiny bit overshadowed by the heroine saying that Brits don’t use the word oi, which is a stable in the British vernacular. But I can forgive it as it was so much fun. The emails from JP were hilarious, and I loved that people kept donating instead of blocking him.
I got very frustrated with Hardy’s brother. Why you gonna play your own brother that way?
When everything happens, you know what I’m talking about. The Big Bang so to speak. I was really frustrated with Hardy like wanting to wring his neck type of frustrated, but then I also got frustrated with Everly. She’d been crushing on this guy for so long. But on the other hand, I loved that she made him work for it. It’s one of my favourite things about reading/ listening to an author’s works, is that they bring out all these types of emotions and reactions in the reader.
It is performed in duet by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor, and I thought it was brilliant. The production was great. The push and pull of the performance, especially the banter was spot on. Jason and Samantha complemented each other so well. They both have great comedic timing. I thought this was perfect casting for these characters. They were just so much fun. I will say, there were a couple of scenes that just didn’t hit right for me. Just a personal taste thing, I’m sure many loved it. And it doesn’t take away from the rest of their brilliant performance. Overall, a fantastic listen.
I think if you are looking for a lighter read; something funny, something that is going to make you laugh out loud. This is the book for you.

Another winner of a romcom!
I'm loving this 'Bridesmaid' series by Meghan Quinn.
The debut novel in this series was incredibly funny and I had concerns that 'Undercover' wouldn't live up to my expectations but I needn't have worried.
The story of Hardy and Everly is as equally ridiculous and humorous as that of Maggie and Brody.
The characters' dialogue is hilarious and, at times, downright juvenile but in the best possible way.
You need to experience this book to truly marvel at the lengths this undercover bridesmaid will go to in order to fulfill the duty given.
I promise you will most certainly laugh out loud.

hilarious
How this lady manages to still make me laugh untill my sides hurt I will not know. Bridesmaid Undercover was hilarious! Everly and Hardy stole my heart from the off. This was a great friends to lovers romance. It slowly built up as the story went on and I throughly enjoyed how the story panned out. As usual we get little snippets of previous book characters and I loved the sprinkle of JP Cane and his newest bird obsession.
The audio was absolutely brilliant. Its read in duet by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor and they did such a good job as Everly and Hardy. Highly recommend the audio just be prepared for lots of laughing if you're in public.
Can't wait to see what's in store for the next Hopper brother.
