Easy Listening

Calm Yourself in Just Minutes!

It was a great find coming across this book on guided meditation. The background music that accompanies the guided meditation is soothing and very relaxing. The sessions are short enough to fit into my busy day, yet powerful enough to create a real sense of calm. The author takes you step by step throughout each exercise. The examples shared for you to gain knowledge and imperse in the mediation are at times provided in the second person and other times in the third person. I don’t have a favorite exercise, all are great. The meditation guidance feels as if it is directed to pre-teens, teens and young adults on top of being useful to adults. I recommend this book if you want to learn how to calm yourself or relax even if you are not experiencing stress.

Themed Meditations like Stories

As a yoga teacher, I've practiced meditation for many years and teach yoga. While I prefer different styles of meditation, this audiobook is a nice complement to my practice when I'm wanting to be guided by a soothing voice and calming music. Each meditation has a theme so it can be fun to intuitively choose what to practice with on a particular day.
