Wish I had listened to this sooner

In the depths of breastfeeding issues with a newborn there was no time to listen to an audiobook but I really wish I had listened beforehand! I thought I had more time to research breastfeeding but my baby came early - I’d highly recommend listening to this book while pregnant if you are wishing to breastfeed as common problems are explained so will be less of a surprise when they happen to you! Explaining the whole fourth trimester and what to expect is really helpful. I’m listening just coming out of the fourth trimester and there are so many things mentioned that I recognise, just wish I’d have listened to this book sooner

Essential read for breastfeeding mothers

This book is excellent and an essential for breastfeeding mothers. I wish I had read/ listened to it before giving birth but I have finished it at 6 weeks postpartum and it’s been really helpful. It covers all the essentials and I think has made me look at my latch more which is helpful and has also given me more confidence in breastfeeding and cemented a few points such as holding my baby will not make a rod for my own back- all the societal pressures and unrealistic and horrible. I highly recommend this book!!

Refreshing and confidence building

Pragmatic and helpful. Particularly liked the commentary re: switching boobs to focus on increasing active feeding vs. emptying boobs to obtain fatty milk. After implementing this we went from 2nd centile at Week 6 to 25th centile at Week 8. Highly recommend!

Excellent content - but needs chapters to be named

Brilliant book with great up to date guidance,
The audio version is really let down by the fact the chapters are numbered and not named. It is designed to be a reference book and this makes it impossible to quickly identify the chapter you need. So much so i ended up buying the paper copy!

Excellent overview and really easy to follow

Really enjoyed listening to this and will re-listen over again once my baby arrives. Helped me feel more prepared and gives easy to follow, sound advice for breast feeding and generally for the first months following baby’s arrival. Would highly recommend! I shared this with all the expecting mums I met on my NCT course.

Advice support

I love all the myths that aren’t actually true which I thought was. She had really made me come away believing I can do this no matter what! Honest upfront and informative! Just what I needed to start my breastfeeding journey when baby arrives. Thank you

what a resource!

This book has really helped me to understand some of the challenges I have had in my breastfeeding journey. It is really validating and full of practical advice which is delivered in a compassionate and understandable way, can really recommend to other mums both in prep for birth or after. really handy to have on audible as a new mum with limited hands free for holding a book!
