Summary
Grainy Day Bakery’s biscuits are to die for.
Dead bodies are expected in cemeteries, but not simply thrown into an open grave. The newspaper’s notorious food reviewer had plenty of enemies in the small town of Oak Hill, Georgia. Unfortunately, it’s Emily Buchanan’s good friend Trish who is the prime suspect, since the biscuits that killed him came from her bakery.
As Emily tries to balance running Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast and working to bring her late husband’s spirit home, she also has to help clear Trish’s name. After all, someone Emily knows and trusts could never be a killer…could she?

Patricia Shade performance was fantastic in this one like the ones before this one

Breakfast as well as murder included
This is another fun adventure at Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast that I just loved, I don't think I have given a single book in this series anything less than a five star. Once again the author entertains the listener with an intriguing plot that keeps you guessing and delightful characters. This is book five in the series and I sure hope the author still has lots of plot ideas for future books because I for one don't want the series to end. I love the characters, both the living and the ghosts who make there lives difficult. This ghost was highly amusing with some of the antics and problems he caused. The main character and her trusted group of friends are also likeable and people that you would want to spend time with, even if you are not a believer but I think with this book even the hard pressed non believers would be hard pressed to deny there presents. The mystery was good, although I might have been shouting at the characters as they missed the most obvious clue, okay shouting might be a bit strong but it did seem to take them a while. I think this book might be the first one in the series that I knew the killer before they did, it was still a lot of fun. I can't wait for the next book.
Trevor's father has passed away and despite the man having once tried to kill her, Emily still wants to support her friend by attending the funeral. The mourners get a big surprise when a dead body is found in an open grave. The dead man was the most hated man in town, after writing a bad review about nearly everybody in town, Emily's B&B included. Then Emily receives a phone call from her friend Trish asking for help, the dead man himself blames Trish for his death and is haunting her bakery. The police also think she could be involved when it is discovered its her cookies shoved in his mouth. Can Emily and her medium friend Sage convince the ghost he is accusing the wrong person? Or more importantly the police? Then evidence starts to turn up pointing the finger at Emily. The only way to help the ghost and the police is to find the killer themselves.
I like the narrator and hope she sticks with the series for any future books to come because for me she is the voice of Emily and her friends.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Another superb story
Beth Dolgner always delivers a great story and this is no exception. When Emily attends the funeral of Trevor's father she does not expect to discover another body . A thoroughly enjoyable cozy mystery with an unloved victim who is no more pleasant as a ghost, .Lots of suspects included Emily and her baker friend. The plot twists and turns and builds to a great climax and with a interesting development in the ongoing Scott storyline at the end which I hope will follow on in the next book. The writing is excellent with good dialogue and entertaining situations. Patricia Shade once again does a great narration with an excellent range of characters. Love this series. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook from the author and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

4.5 Stars!
It’s nice to be back with these characters! As with the rest of the series, I loved this book.
I also enjoyed seeing more of the characters and having them developed a bit more. Trish was a nice surprise in this book because we did not previously know much about her. So, it was nice to see her. It was also nice to have gotten a bit more from Trevor. As always, loved seeing Reed, Jen, Sage, and officer Danny, as well as the usual ghosts of the Bed and Breakfast back.
I especially loved how we are slowly getting a peak at what is going on with Emily’s late husband’s spirit and how she is working her way to trying to find and contact him. I can’t wait to see more of this in the next book!

Love it
Thank you to Beth Dolgner for the Audio copy of Breakfast Included
Breakfast Included is book 5 in the bed and breakfast cozy mystery. Though it's part of a 6 book series I would say each book could be read or listened to as a standalone.
There is an underlying storyline throughout but I don't believe it would distract or cause confusion.
I loved this cozy mystery of the murder caused by a cookie. It was fun to listen to and I like how the mysteries are featuring away from the bed and breakfast and introuducing new places around the town.
I love all the characters, though police officer Danny in this book was a bit ott and I'm left feeling there's an underlying issue with him and his feelings towards Emily - though that's just my thoughts.
I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of this murder and I love how everyone seems to benefit from a murder in town 😂
I can't wait to see what happens in the last book and whether Emily gets to communicate with Scott or not.
