About this listen

Fight demons. Fall in love. Save the world.

Welcome to Angel Academy.

My name is Celeste Venoix, and I’m no angel.

I never had a family, so I’ve been taking care of myself ever since I was a kid. One night, some creep decides to follow me home from work, and I use my fists to put him in his place. After the brawl, a handsome stranger approaches me and tells me that I might be an angel.

What the hell?

The next thing I know, I’m enrolled at the Angel Academy. The academy is a place for angels-in-training to learn how to fight demons and become fluent in an ancient language or two. It’s hard enough trying to keep up with my classes, but somewhere between working on my swordsmanship and my Latin prepositions, I find myself falling for my best guy friend. And falling for a handsome stranger. And falling for a guy who totally hates my guts. All at the same time.

Oh, and did I mention that demons keep trying to kill me, and I have no idea why?

God.

It’s going to be one hell of a year.

Please note: Angel Academy is a university-age reverse harem series.

Exhilirating

A school for angels? Sign me up! i was unsure at first how this would play out. would it be like very other book i have read where our main character does no tnow shes from the supernatural world? This was nothing like those and i was very happy with the way the characters developed and came together in the end.

Good story not the greatest narration

The storyline has some great potential. It was a bit cheesy at first but by the end I really did get into it. I think what really held me back was the narrator. Though she did seem to improve as the story went on her work just felt really unpolished. Hopefully it will get better as the series progresses.

Strong

Another interesting RH series. The heroine is great for her literal strength and her strength of will. She seems to be quite the force to be reconciled with. The heroes all seem to be very different and I look forward to learning more about each. I really enjoyed the narrator and the way she brought it all to life.

Interesting

This is an interesting start to a new series. Celeste is an intriguing, well written character whose challenges this story follows. The narration is great and cleverly distinctive for each character.

Let down by narration

Ridiculous accents, shouty performance, and most unforgivably, the narrator keeps saying “eKspecially” instead of especially. Why was that not picked up and corrected? It’s awful!!!

Brilliant

After she’s followed home by a creepy guy and she kicks his ass she’s stopped by a stranger who tells her she’s an angel.
She goes home and when she wakes she puts it all down to a dream until said stranger knocks at her door and tells her she’s enrolled in Angel Academy.
I enjoyed listening and following Celeste finding out who her parents are and sorting her feeling for the 3 guys in her life.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.

1st book in series, angel RH

Celeste is a bada$$, who learns she is an angel. She was lost and once found starts training at Angel Academy where she and her best friend start to learn about angels, demons, history and more. It took me a while to get I to the book, but it had a good plot and the characters were entertaining.

Nash the man!

A fun read, I really enjoyed the idea of Celeste being talked into joining the angel acadamy only to discover she's Lilith and Lucifer's daughter! And only Celeste can talk Benjemin, the rule follower to let loose and break a few rules! I can't wait to start book 2

A good listen

I enjoyed the story its self, it flowed well and kept me interested, I also like that the romance side wasnt rushed, i didn't love the narrator, she wasn't awful and I would listen to her again if the story was good enough, but she is not one of my favourites. audiobook obsessions reviewer.
