Summary
The fourth novel in the international number one best-selling Mercy Thompson series - the major urban fantasy hit of the decade.
Mercy Thompson: mechanic, shape-shifter, fighter.
Car mechanic and sometime shape-shifter Mercy Thompson has learned, the hard way, why her race was almost exterminated. When European vampires immigrated to North America, they found Mercy's people had a hidden talent - for vampire slaying. Unfortunately for Mercy, the queen of the local vampire seethe has discovered her true identity.
She's also furious when she learns Mercy has crossed her and killed one of her vampires. Mercy may be protected from direct reprisals by the werewolf pack (and her interesting relationship with its Alpha), but that just means Marsilia will come after Mercy some other way. So Mercy had better prepare to watch her back.
Critic reviews
"Plenty of twists and turns...Kept me entertained from its deceptively innocent beginning to its can't-put-it-down end." (Kim Harrison, best-selling author of Dead Witch Walking)
"I enjoyed every minute of it. I love Mercy and can't wait for her to kick some more ass." (Lilith Saintcrow)

Adore the series!
I've read, reread and listened to this series 20+ times. I love her writing style and Lorali King brings the story to life all over again! Most female urban fantasy novels are all 'steam' no substance. Patricia Briggs develops the characters and let's the relationships develop over time. True writing skills are hard to find but Patricia has the perfect balance in my opinion! Try alpha and omega too, you won't regret it :)

Gone Crossed
This is yet again another fantastic story, although I found it the scariest so far. Read brilliantly yet again by Lorelei King.

Great story. Audio skips a few times
I did really like this story, as with all the mercy Thompson books.
It’s just so frustrating though that it skips in a few places, as do some of the others

Patricia Briggs is amazing
I've read the books and now listening to the audio. It never fails to keep me captured. Mercy thompson and her Alpha and Omega series are just fabulous and definitely worth the read or listen

Another great book
This series gets better and better. Each story carries on from the last but has its own story going on as well. Fantastic the way it’s done.
