About this listen

Brand new horror fantasy novel from best-selling author Iain Rob Wright.

An Irishman walks into a bar...

This isn't the first time Lucas Fergus has woken up next to the bins outside a bar, but it is the first time he's done so with no memory of the days before. Something bad has happened, but he has no idea what. And things keep getting worse. Is he finally paying the price for the things he's done during his long and debauched life?

With a sudden and unexpected change coming over him, Lucas finds himself trapped inside an old english pub with a group of people he doesn't much like. Someone is toying with him it seems; someone that has been holding a grudge for a very long time.

But messing with Lucas is a bad idea, for there is more to him than meets the eye. Soon there will be Hell to pay.

A fantasy horror novel with hearty doses of mystery and humour.

Another great read, or should I say listen! Haven't found a story from Iain I haven't liked yet. Keep 'em coming.

Blinking Brilliant

Another blinking brilliant novel by Mr Wright. Again, like all of his novels, so original, with the odd twist of British humour. making me smile whilst scaring me at the same time. He has a refreshing stance on modern day horror which totally engulfs me. The narration is equally fantastic, totally blows me away how one person can deliver so many different characters. I highly recommend this audio book. You won't be disappointed.

Genre-bending good vs evil

I picked this up on a whim, having never read any by Iain Rob Wright, but having previously enjoyed Aubrey Parsons' narrations.

I wasn't quite prepared for the fantastical romp that played out - something like a cross between Luther & The Cabin In The Woods.

Great ideas, great writing and brilliant narration. I'll be looking out for more from both of them!

Excellent!

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It's labelled as Book 1 in the series and I really hope there will be more to follow. I really enjoy the work of Iain Rob Wright. He has so many different types of storyline and Aubrey Parsons is perfect as the narrator for them all.

Thoroughly enjoyable

A gripping listen from start to finish. This is the first Iain Rob Wright I have listened to but will definitely not be the last. As always, Aubrey Parsons narration brings the characters to life and gives them personality. An excellent book.

Excellent Listen

Meet Lucas, an Irishman who walks into a bar. He’s not who he seems to be though, he has a devilish side to him. Another great book by Iain Rob Wright, and narrated by the wonderful Aubrey Parsons.

Loved it!

In Blood on the Bar~we are reunited with a familiar character from The Final Winter. This book is epic in a biblical sense (once you listen you will get it lol).

As usual the narrator drew me into the story with his excellent character development. He has a talent of capturing the essence of a character and portraying it.

The storyline was enjoyable and quite addictive. I needed to know what would happen next and I can only hope that there is a follow up book.
