Summary
First introduced in the novel The Omicron Six, Blood for the Fisher King is a standalone novel chronicling the continuing adventures of two genetically-enhanced teenagers who must also contend with their own special personal challenges generated by their special genetic abilities.
Cooper Callister comes from a loving home. He was engineered to have incredible strength and the ability to sense the thoughts of others. His telepathic sensing is so strong that when surrounded by people he found it difficult to even speak, until he met Coupe Daschelete. Coupe can sense Cooper's telepathic abilities and help him control them so that he could overcome his silence and experience life like a normal teen.
Coupe, on the other hand, came from a home full of neglect and abuse. He is the victim of repeated sexual abuse, making him insecure, thinking himself unlikeable. But he too has incredible genetic enhancements. He is hyper intelligent, has heightened reflexes and senses, and most stunning of all, the ability to heal incredibly quickly.
In Blood for the Fisher King, the two return home from the genetic research facility that created them – Deep Woods Academy. Soon, strange things begin to happen, and the teens realize they are being followed. A tragic accident takes the entire family back to Deep Wood Academy. They learn even more people are interested in Coupe's healing abilities as they discover his blood may even extend life itself -- for anyone. Coupe is a tempting target, and it is not too long before he is abducted by those who should have been protecting him.
Seemingly beyond help, will Coupe be rescued? Do Cooper and the other genetically-enhanced siblings at Deep Woods Academy have the sufficient skill and nerve to do what even trained professionals fear to try? And if he is rescued, what is to stop others from trying to do the same thing, just so they can get their hands on Coupe's life-giving blood?
Based loosely on Arthurian legend, The Omicron Six could be the start of this century's round table and the noble protagonists who surround it.
