Summary
The future changes in the blink of an eye...or does it?
Miriam is a Saudi princess promised to another, a pawn in a political struggle that could shift the balance of power in the Middle East.
Seth is a certified genius with a head full of numbers, a life full of baggage, and an attitude born on the waves of the Pacific.
Cultures collide when they find themselves thrown together as fugitives in a high-stakes chase across Southern California. A growing attraction and a search for answers fuel their fight to survive...but with no sleep and a massive manhunt steadily closing in, their chances of surviving any future are razor thin.

Pleasurable
I throughly enjoyed this book although the voice of Miriam was irritating.
Otherwise a good performance.

Captivating
I didn't think I was going to like this book if I'm being honest. However. I preserved and I'm really glad I did. The pace of the story picks up quite well and it isn't long before you're plunging straight into the middle of what could be an international crisis. The characters were well thought out and the interaction between them was interesting and held my interest. The title is also appropriate given what happens. An act of kindness changes lives forever with consequences both good and bad being experienced between two big super powers at opposite ends of the line.
I thought the audio was clear and easy to follow the narrator has good modulation in his delivery.
The only criticism I have (and I would say this for most audiobooks); I think the narration would benefit from having the appropriate gender read the parts of members of the opposite sex. What I mean by this is even when a scene is serious I often find myself laughing at the attempts of the narrator to portray opposite genders. It's generally a problem I have with all single audiobook narrators. This is my own personal opinion.
In closing, I would recommend this audiobook it's interesting and captivating, clever with p!entry of suspense, drama, romance, danger, and a whole lot more besides.
