About this listen
From seals' frisky behavior to red squirrels making their last stand in the battle against the greys, here are the mammals of Britain as you've never seen them before.
Join Fiona Mathews and Tim Kendall on an overnight stakeout in search of the elusive pine marten. Follow them down mines inhabited by greater horseshoe bats, cavers, ravers and teenagers smoking unusual substances. Meet water voles thriving in the East End of Glasgow—despite the lack of water—and observe the brilliance of wild boar in your back garden.
Lively and light-hearted, Black Ops and Beaver Bombing puts animals at the heart of the story, reveling in their peculiarities, with a few corny jokes along the way. In search of answers to the problems that beset our wildlife, Fiona and Tim reveal the wonder of creatures that are worth fighting for.

Whitty and informative
Really enjoyed this book. Discusses serious issues but with whit and plenty on tongue in cheek humour and the odd dad joke.

UKs need for species introduction
Hilarious but extremely informative. Well researched, written and read. The terrible continuing tale of UK species denial.

Brilliant chatty style
This book packs in an awful lot of information about British mammals with a lovely personal and sometimes laugh out loud style. A very enjoyable listen.

Terrible narration- possible cure for insomnia
Really disappointing narration, I think the book is quite interesting and funny but hard to tell as the narrator is so poor. I thought it was a fairly poor AI conglomerate and looked it up so I can avoid in future. Would never by anything narrated by this person. Not even sure I will finish the book. A real shame.

Compelling, despite a few mispronunciations
Hugely enjoyable - funny, intellectually satisfying, beautifully written, with a very serious message running throughout. Fascinating factual reports reveal research reaching back millennia in some cases.
The narrator spoils it rather, with inventive pronunciation occasionally (Bo-castle for Bosscastle; and so for sow).
Nevertheless, I thoroughly recommend reading it - if you possibly can
