Compelling, twisted and witty. With another outstanding performance by RC Bray.
Great story with twists and turns as well as great and sarcastic characters. This will keep you coming back for more.

Enjoyable background book but no suspence
if you're reading this you either love RC bray ( can't blame you, his performance is fantastic as usual), you got lost and found yourself here, or there is a sale on.
The book is far too short to warrant a credit. it was an easy going listen that mad me chuckle a few times but the story was not inspiring.
I didn't care for the characters or have any attachment when they died in seemingly random roll a dice order.
To be honest I think I only finished this one as it was short and wanted to see how Black's relationships developed and again I was left disappointed.
I really don't know who this book is catering to, there's no suspence or thriller aspect to the book, (which is what I guess you want from a crime PI book), there is death but it's certainly not a horror. Which leaves you with the shallow character development.
it's really only saving grace is the narrator.
