About this listen
Half-angel Rose has always flown solo, and that's just how she likes it. Trained since youth by her angelic father in the ways of battle, she flees the heartache of a broken childhood by hunting the nightmarish creatures that hide in the shadows. When she discovers a nefarious plot involving a mysterious witch and her parade of grisly horrors in an abandoned California town, she eagerly treks out to see what blood can be spilled, only to discover that a boy from her past—now grown to manhood—has sniffed out the same prize.
Skriker, the halfling son of a demon and a stripper, is a supernatural hunter with nothing to tie him down. Between gore-splattered hunts slaying things that go bump in the night, he fills his days and nights with women, cage fights, and hard, fun living. But when the tattooed, Harley-riding bad boy makes a trip out to the rotting burg of Paradise Hill, he finds that he isn't the only hunter to arrive on the scene...and she's someone he was certain he'd never see again. Fierce and beautiful, Rose forces feelings he'd buried long ago to rise to the surface, drawing him into a partnership that neither ever expected.
As the unlikely pair battle their way through the ruins, Skriker and Rose must survive not only the vicious enemy pursuing them but the reawakened—and forbidden—emotions that both were sure had expired...emotions that might make or break the fate of Creation itself.
Rediscover the first installment of Dani Julian's cult-followed urban fantasy adventure, reimagined with enhancements by cowriter Amanda Schrader and film producer/actor Vincent van Hinte (Star Trek: Into Darkness, The Walking Dead). Come join the hunt!

Urban Fantasy Romance
Black Dog and Rebel Rose by Dani Julian, Amanda Schrader, and Vincent van Hinte is an urban fantasy adventure that I listened to on audio narrated by Jeremy Frazier.
This book is outside my usual genre of reading, but I am glad I took the chance on it. There was a lot going on in this story that left me hooked and begging for more. I would highly recommend listening to this book when you can focus on the storyline since it does jump from past to present a lot.
The book does end on a cliffhanger so I do hope the next book will be released on audio soon.
Jeremy did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of his work in the future.

Brilliant!
Wow! Just wow! What a fascinating book. Black Dog and Rebel Rose is a brilliantly written paranormal romance, with a unique and refreshing premise. The characters are extraordinary, authentic, and wholly compelling. The world-building is incredibly imaginative and riveting. The descriptions and imageries are vivid, putting the readers/listeners in the very centre of the scenes; I was thoroughly captivated. I really enjoyed the graphic novel aspect, making it even more entertaining and engaging. Black Dog and Rebel Rose, is one of those books I will remember for some time. It was simply marvellous!
Jeremy Frazier's narration made it even more appealing. He's a skilful voice artist capturing the essence of the characters, flawlessly emulating the diverse personas. Kudos to the talented authors and narrator. I'm strongly recommending this audiobook; it's definitely worth a listen.

Loved it.
Having read the book many years ago I was delighted to discover that it was now on audio! A book written with vivid, detailed descriptions, it offers a form of paranormal story which encompasses both love and horror, an alternative narrative of the creation myth and a cast of strong, interesting characters. I love the manner in which we are given the full lives of both Eric/Black Dog and Rose/Rebel Rose, as the story progresses. The overall impact is of a graphic novel brought ro life. Jeremy Frazier adds to the story with his narration. He supports the story development well. I do feel that his female voices were challenging and, at times the editing made the transitions between characters and events somewhat unclear. These, however cannot take away from Jeremy's skill at telling a very good story in a manner which meant I was engaged and keen to keep listening throughout. 💖💖💖💖💖
