Summary

Billy Summers is Stephen King's gripping and compelling novel about a contract killer, an ex-marine, with one last payday to earn before he retires.... Once again, King sets his storytelling talent on a new path with this epic new thriller.

From legendary storyteller and number one best-selling author Stephen King, whose ‘restless imagination is a power that cannot be contained’ (The New York Times Book Review), comes a thrilling new novel about a good guy in a bad job.

Billy Summers is a man in a room with a gun. He’s a killer for hire and the best in the business. But he’ll do the job only if the target is a truly bad guy. And now Billy wants out. But first there is one last hit. Billy is among the best snipers in the world, a decorated Iraq war vet, a Houdini when it comes to vanishing after the job is done. So what could possibly go wrong?

How about everything.

This spectacular can’t-put-it-down novel is part war story, part love letter to small-town America and the people who live there, and it features one of the most compelling and surprising duos in King fiction, who set out to avenge the crimes of an extraordinarily evil man. It’s about love, luck, fate, and a complex hero with one last shot at redemption.

You won’t put this story down, and you won’t forget Billy.

Steve - you nailed it!

I have read and listened to most of Stephen King’s titles. Billy Summers is absolutely mesmerising. It quickly draws you in until you’re unable to leave this brilliantly crafted world. If you enjoy Mr. King’s work, you’ll love this. If you’re unfamiliar with Stephen King, you’ll be hooked from the first paragraph. The narration by Paul Sparks is truly exceptional and a real tour de force - congratulations Paul, what a mighty performance!
Billy Summers - a masterclass Steve. All I can say is thank you
Billy Summers - if you have your sights on a download, aim for this title

Brilliant

Loved this book from start to finish, real characters, zero supernatural, just perfect. Hoped to enjoy it for some time, usually listening on long walks with the dogs but couldn’t stop, so finished in 2 days. Addictive

Outstanding

It’s a long book and a meandering start but it’s 100% worth persisting with. It’s a masterpiece in the end, outstanding character exploration with great twists. Brilliantly read.

Couldn’t take my headphones out!

Embarrassingly this is the first Stephen King book I have read/listened to and it definitely won’t be the last. The storyline is great and has you hooked in the first five minutes, I had to put in real effort to take myself away from listening to it non stop. Paul Sparks’ voiceover is outstanding, probably the best I’ve heard on Audible, and I can’t wait to see what books he narrates next.
