About this listen
Discover little-known nutrition and lifestyle tactics with Beyond Training!
What problems does Beyond Training solve?
Ironically, many people who appear to be fit and healthy on the outside struggle with health and lifestyle issues like insomnia, gas, bloating, low libido, aging too fast, injuries, performance plateaus, brain fog, and a basic lack of time for their career, family, and friends. So, this book supplies a step-by-step guide to eliminating all these issues and helping you get the most out of life while still achieving amazing feats of physical performance.
Who is Beyond Training for?
Beyond Training is for men and women who have made it out of couch potato mode and are ready to take things to the next level, whether that means shedding those last few extra pounds, finishing a 5K, or even crossing the finish line of an Ironman triathlon. Everyone from the casual exerciser to the weightlifter, CrossFitter, obstacle racer, marathoner, mountaineer, triathlete, swimmer, cyclist, runner, and biohacker will glean tons of knowledge and life-changing advice from this book.
What will Beyond Training do for you?
Beyond Training educates and entertains with underground training, nutrition, and lifestyle tactics that mean no guesswork, less confusion about what to eat, and elimination of workout frustrations so you can have more time and make more money, experience fewer frustrating health issues, have complete confidence that you are training the right way, and rid yourself of notorious body trouble spots, nagging injuries, and stubborn body fat.

Interesting and comprehensive
Good book but so much information to take in. There are comprehensive and useful links but a physical copy of the book would be easier to follow and refer back to. If anything it makes me want to buy the book too

The definitive guide to training
This is, without a doubt the best book on training I have ever listened to (or read) Greenfield breaks the science of optimised performance down into practical implementable terms and frames them with his own perspective on longevity and quality of life. I can't recommend this book enough

ok
Plenty of interesting approaches but some of the later chapters especially have some thoroughly unfounded technology and thoughts on effects of supplements

Refreshing
A comprehensive look in to exercise and life physiology, delves in to areas not commonly covered by other training guides. I've definitely changed my approach to life since reading this, and at 49 years old I'm now looking forward to a faster, fitter, happier, less stressed second half century. The almost conversational narration (by the author) adds belief to the authenticity of the content - Excellent

the bible for triathlon
This book is probably the most comprehensive guide for triathletes, however I'm an average gym enthusiast so some of the chapters I did not find applicable. What I did enjoy about the book is the variety of chapters, all the information is based on research, and there is tonnes of information and additional resources. If you like geeking out on science and technology and the latest developments on health and well being then you won't be disappointed with this book. A key message of the book is to train smart rather than beat up your body with excessive training and take care of yourself.
