About this listen

Baby-making with Kane is right up Jade's alley...until a curse throws a bucket of ice on their fire. Jade and Kane are ready to take the next step in their lives together. But after a routine blessing goes horribly wrong, suddenly any thoughts of starting a family are put on hold when Jade is cursed and their future child threatened. Now the hunt is on to find the one responsible in order to break the curse. But life on Bourbon Street is never that straightforward. There are demons to battle, souls to save, and secrets to be uncovered. And as Jade and her friends get closer to the truth, it's starting to look like someone has made a deal with the devil.

Highly recommended

Another great book, with great narrative. Can the love of Jade and Kane make it threw a difficult curse. A must read to find out!

Entertaining

Curses abound in this edition of the Jade Calhoon series. Great storyline with plenty of twists and turns. Good character development. The narrator did a fantastic job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Sadly true to form

What could Deanna Chase have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Creating main characters who stand up for themselves.

What about Traci Odom’s performance did you like?
She's great

Any additional comments?
Well, I did it - I listened to the end of the series (at least I hope it's the end) and it didn't improve at all. Even the resolution of the situation with the Angel Council came about almost by accident, rather than deliberate action by the characters. At least the authors is consistent, sadly, it's that consistency is in how useless the main characters are at sticking up for themselves, and how overdescribed the overblown sex scenes are.
