Roisin finds herself searching for clues to the truth – about her life, their history, and the man she thought she loved. And it’s then that Roisin finds the most unexpected plot twist of them all. Among those same old friends, there’s a surprising potential for new beginnings . . .

Bit slow

Not one of her best books, took a while to get into. The narrator was good though

Love Mhairi - absolutely adore Roisin

I mean, by now you know that Mhairi McFarlane is going to bring you a fabulous story with great characters and use of modern British English, but this time her heroine is just fantastic. She has flaws and weaknesses, but she's so decisive and strong - not only did I want to be her, I want her to be *my* girlfriend (and I'm straight). Loved it!

Brilliant!

This is the first of Mahairi’s books that I have read & I am delighted to have discovered her. What a fabulous writer! I so enjoyed this audible book & couldn’t stop listening to it. Excellent narration really brought the beautifully observed characters and story to life. A clever, poignant, funny, wonderful book. Looking forward to enjoying Mahairi’s many other books now too 😊

I loved Roisin as the lead character

I really enjoyed this book and particularly liked the way the female characters supported each other. The story and the characters developed well at a good pace which kept me interested throughout. My only criticism is that I would like to hear more about the relationships that have formed at the end after spending time investing in them. I find this with all Mhairi’s books and it leaves me with a slight feeling of disappointment, as if the book ends too soon.

Absolutely Brilliant!

Every time I read one of Mhairi’s books it spurs me to re-read the previous ones again. You never want them to stop as the characters are so relatable, even down to the intricacies of easy friend group banter and complex relationships, which Mhairi does so well.

Well I’m off to start “You Had Me At Hello” again, enjoy!

Perfect

This book contains everything you’d want from this author, it’s funny, witty, describes lovely relationships between friends, and off course love! But, it’s also deeply moving about trust, honesty and the need of “real” people in our lives.

Bit boring

I found this to be a very slow start. I enjoyed the concept but it was quite predictable in parts. The characters were boring and had very little personality

Another great story

A great listen by my favourite author. She writes the most relatable characters. Really hope she keeps them coming

Loved it but slight quibble

Loved the story and characters. Only quibble was with the writing - everything was 'said', no other verbs. Kept hoping for 'asked' at least! Expected better from Mhairi Mcfarlane

Binged it in a day

Anything by Mhairi McFarlane is a solid choice. This work included. I love that she makes female characters who relatable, slightly flawed but still likeable.
I felt Rosins heartache and joy with her.
