About this listen
She waits at the far end of the empty ballroom, restless and obscured by shadow. Here in the lightless corners, there is cover…an illusion of safety, where the only judgment suffered is her own.
Ahead, a single spotlight burns a soft, white circle into the darkness. She is drawn to the promise of the light; to be seen, to be heard, to be recognized. We stand here now in the midst of a wave of awakening to the power of the divine feminine. The world is shifting in immensely beautiful ways that are painful, exhilarating, and necessary.
Since 2004, author, photographer, and speaker, Don Hajicek, has been bearing witness to the divine feminine through what he describes as the lens of love. Breast cancer, divorce, sexual assault, war...Don Hajicek works with women, and so he works with survivors. He has discovered (and documents here) that there is great healing in the process of being seen, whether it is through the lens of a camera or not.
The audiobook is much more than a collection of photographs. In the end, it is an investigation into of the power of the witness, an homage to the resilience of the divine feminine, and an acknowledgment of the role of the masculine in her healing...and her in his.

uniquely beautiful
moved to more than tears. sobbing as I write this. Don has written an astonishingly vulnerable and truly beautiful book that both broke my heart and started to mend it.
