About this listen

Behind the Wheel: Spanish Level 2 first reviews earlier vocabulary and lessons from Spanish Level 1 to reinforce the foundation of knowledge and understanding established in the first course of the Spanish series. The course then continues to evolve and expand all of these areas, focusing on medium-length sentence combinations, short stories and language transformations.

This course takes the user to a level of functional fluency, providing an arsenal of versatile and original sentences that will be immediately understood by native Spanish speakers.

Like Spanish Level 1, Spanish Level 2 features both English and native Spanish speaking instructors.

mediocre

Deals only with South American Spanish making this course pretty inadequate for those wishing to converse with Spanish people. The pace of the course is slow and I would have found it useful to know how many levels there are in the series so that 'Level 2' would have some meaning. Level 2 of 3 levels is quite different to level 2 of 10 levels for example.

Latin American Spanish and poor quality

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

This course is aimed at Latin American Spanish but this is not made clear in the description and so is less useful for those of us wanting a European course. I also found the accents and phrasing (both the American English and Spanish) quite difficult to understand in places and so learning new words was a lot harder. This is really not very well suited for European audiences and has been a waste of money for me.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The accents were not helpful for European use.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointing, the description of the book could be better
