About this listen
You are already a masterpiece. Have you ever wanted to know the secret to creating a life you love? How do you discern what's really standing in your way of becoming all you were born to be?
In Behind the Clutter, June Saruwatari opens her home and her heart to reveal the transformative decluttering approach that has kept her in demand as a lifestyle, business and relationship coach, and professional organizer to investment bankers, attorneys, judges, artists, politicians, writers, rabbis, university professors, doctors, mothers, children, Hollywood producers, and celebrities. The key to your best life is to master the spaces of your body, mind, soul, and heart, and let go of the clutter within and without.
In this part spiritual memoir, part self-help book, June vulnerably and relentlessly examines her own internal and external "stuff" through her unique fourfold lens of TruthLoveMeaningPurpose:
- Truth: What is the truth of my current situation?
- Love: Do I absolutely love this?
- Meaning: What is the meaning of this for me?
- Purpose: What purpose does this serve in my life?
With fearlessness, vulnerability, and childlike enthusiasm, June digs deep to uncover the thoughts, feelings, memories, and beliefs that lay behind the clutter - and shares effective strategies to identify both internal and external clutter, let it go, and create space for miracles. As you go behind the clutter with June as your guide, you'll discover that you are your own best expert at designing your life.
Learn to apply your own TruthLoveMeaningPurpose to all the "stuff" of life, and uncover the masterpiece of yourself that's been there all along.

Hoarding
This book is "open your eyes" type of book for hoarders or people who are not able or are unwilling to declutter their homes. It's sort of psycho-spiritual talk into our souls to take control over our stuff before it takes complete control over our lives. I think the first chapter repeated itself twice or I might perhaps listen to it twice by mistake. I found this phenomena in the end of the book again. It's way too long with too little of real informations. There are no tools presented to declutter. It's little chaotic, jumping from one topic to another. It's easy to listen to and might be good before bed book but nothing more. It does not offer anything more or different than popular konmari method beside the fact she hears her stuff talk and beg her to discard it. She advocates few Buddhist or esoterical principles as letting go of things from our past to eliminate their energy and effect on our future and discard everything which isn't us anymore and surround ourself with things presenting where we want to go. Perhaps it may work somewhat like positive affirmations. She has good point in discarding old photographs which are not relevant of our present any more like pictures of ex partners for example but I'm bit sceptical that alone will attract new partner in our lives. If you want learn about discarding and you are not a typical hoarder or having extreme anxiety of letting things go I think there are much better books out there on discarding and organizing and they are much more time sufficient.

Totally enlightening!
What an amazing book. There are not enough stars to rate how high this book would be for me. So many "light bulb" moments when I thought, "Yes that's true". I don't read many books twice but I am going to read this over again right now so I can reflect on all June's messages.......fabulous & so uplifting, my sincere thanks to the brilliant Author.
