About this listen

Now a major motion picture.

They say 'live every day as if it's your last' - but you never actually think it's going to be. At least I didn't. The thing is, you don't get to know when it happens. You don't remember to tell your family that you love them or - in my case - remember to say goodbye to them at all.

But what if, like me, you could live your last day over and over again? Could you make it perfect? If your whole life flashed before your eyes, would you have no regrets? Or are there some things you'd want to change?

Great book

I really liked the narration by Sarah Drew, I loved how she did different voices for every character and the emotion she performed throughout was great!
Great story too, I really like Lauren Oliver books they're so gripping and you really get attached to the characters.

Good story, but I didn't like the main character to much

I decided to listen to this book because I thought the idea was intriguing and I definitely enjoyed the plot.
However I didn't like the main character. She annoyed me most of the times which is unfortunate when a story is told from the first-person perspective... Some people would maybe argue that she might not have been likeable in the beginning but then evolves, but it takes her very long and even in the end she wasn't really my favourite.
Some voices were a bit over the top, but apart from that the reading was good.
Overall I did enjoy the story. I might not listen to it again, but it was worth the time.

Good, but characters unlikable<br />

liked but Lynsey is aweful and doesn't have a good reason to be a bully

My new favourite

It's truly a beautiful book. You'll cry and laugh and hopefully fall in love with Kent. It's a perfect story and really eye opening. I'm gonna to re-read it forever. Sad though

The End

Greatly enjoyed the book definately one to keep you listening to the end, at which point you want more, and leaves your imagination to make it up.

Amazing!

This book was amazing in all ways and Sarah did a fantastic job of narrating with her voice changing for the characters and she was great for getting the tone right with all positions needed in the book. This is one of those books that will stay with people after listening/reading.

I'm not left inspired..

Narrator did great for a teen story. I'd heard this book was inspiring, but there was no twist, no revelation, no excitement, and I was bored.

My first impression

I have a real problem with the music in the background in the beginning. It makes it hard to focus. The voice of the voiceactor is also not plesant. sertain sounds cuts in mu ears. I have tried to start this many times over and it just bothers me every time.
I dont think the issue is the voiceactor though. I think the person recording and manipulating the sound just did a bad job here.

I will try for an hour and see if it gets better.

An arresting concept that gains momentum

This is a brave book. It takes an arresting concept and executes it well, especially for its YA audience.

If you find yourself really not enjoying this book and not liking the protagonist or any of her friends much at the start, bear with it, since this is the point. I nearly gave up after the first hour or two but read a few reviews and decided to stay with it. Very quickly after that, it all clicked into place. For the character and story arc, we need to give her space. The author understands she had to be flawed to begin with; otherwise, how could she grow? Like us all, she is flawed, human and sometimes unkind or thoughtless; this just makes it more interesting. It's also a bit of a meditation on mindfulness.

An interesting read that has far more depth and substance than on first appearance – a metaphor for all of us perhaps, and giving everyone a chance, and taking time to be present in the moment of our lives with the people we love. Skilfully sculpted.
