Summary

Who is Beezer? That’s what he wants to know! Now that the former prince of the Red Realm is permanently on Earth, away from his overlord father, the sky’s the limit. He can be anyone he wants to be! The only problem is - he’s not sure who that is just yet. But he’ll figure it out eventually.

Now that Summer Camp has arrived, it should be smooth sailing, right? Not exactly. Beezer’s siblings, Lucy and Dash, are acting like total weirdos. One minute they're fine and the next they’re behaving badly. It’s as if they’re possessed or something!

Their mom, Jessie, has just about had it with their antics, but when birds start falling from the sky, Beezer realizes something much scarier is happening. After consulting a mysterious book called the Crimson Codex, a frightening truth is revealed!

Now, with the help of his family, Beezer must stop an ancient prophecy from destroying everything as a dark secret from the past emerges.

Beware the Creeping Red! It comes for you.

What are you talking about Miss Adams?

Some people might not know that there was a first book and started with this one so that if they did that they would not be confused. Anyways, i love this book and it is amazingly funny and great plot.

Why is there no sequel?

There should be another book in the series. Other than that, great book for kids.

Good

Good all round as a 12 year old I loved this book I found it funny and a bit frightening not extremely just enough to make me have to turn my lamp on but the only little thing I found was that when listen the talking was perfect sound volume but when it came to the screeching it was atrocious

*SERIOUSLY* UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN

I enjoyed the first book, so I wanted to listen to this one, too. Wow, was I disappointed!

The sound balance is *awful* with SFX overpowering the voices on a regular basis, which seriously affected my enjoyment.

Next, what was with all the exposition? It was seriously over-the-top. Characters would just randomly start going-over the events of the first book to each-other and it was very unnatural and not needed. We've read the first book; we don't need a thorough recap in "conversation" form. People *don't do that*!

And, finally, as the title of my review says, this is seriously not a children's book. This is even darker, scarier, etc than the first one. This is ruddy nightmare-enducing, if you ask me! But, each child is different and if you are a parent you can decide for yourself, of course. I recommend listening beforehand yourself and deciding if you want your little ones to hear it or not. They might like it, who knows!

Good points: fun characters, quips, jokes, etc and the voice acting is top-notch. The plot is decent, but quite rushed and confusing at times.

Alas, overall, I am in no rush to listen to a third outing, if they ever make one. Not unless they seriously fix the sound balance and the author returns to the writing style of the first book (no ruddy exposition required, hun!).
