Summary

“Cross one, cross all.” That’s the Brayshaw way.

She should have realized this before sliding into our world with secrets too big to bury. She didn’t, and now the target is on her back.

The day her lies came crashing down, I should have forced her out. Instead, I locked her in, and with the promise I would never be hers.

I resisted, fought against us. I caved. I tasted what became my newfound favorite flavor and fell hard for the little liar.

But then the depth of her treachery reveals itself, and with it a reminder.

Our town is a twisted place, and with truth comes trouble.

In the blink of an eye, my world is split at its core, and I’m faced with an impossible decision, one that leads to a single outcome: betrayal.

This is Captain Brayshaw's book and the fourth book in the Brayshaw series.

Hello Captain

Those were the words that came out of my mouth the second it started. If I could have imagined Captains voice when reading the books it would have been this. The narrators were both perfect
I loved that this story was able to come to life so well.

Don’t waste your credit....get ready for the rant!

I wasn’t a massive fan of books 1-3 but they weren’t terrible either, and after what happened in book 3 I was abit excited that this book was about Captain as he was such a nice guy and deserved it. In this book When I say he’s a massive d**k I mean he’s a massive d**k. I honestly don’t know that the author was thinking with this one and I was so disappointed. Too many unanswered questions, too many plot holes, too many characters that were not explained correctly. These are supposed to be 18 year olds for crying out loud! With the amount of parent swapping, child abuse, teenage pregnancies, murders, rape, self sabotage, bullying, abductions, violence and lies I’ve read in this book I think even I need therapy never mind her characters. With every awful thing that happens they are literally like “mehh” shrugging their shoulders. DINT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON CHAPTER 35🤬🤯🤮 This book could have been so much more than it was and I am bitterly disappointed.
