Summary
Books 1-4 in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes Series
Justice for Mackenzie
Daxton Chambers, a member of the oldest and most distinguished law enforcement agency in the state of Texas, never understood why people killed. But this new case, where someone was kidnapping and burying women alive, is a whole new level of depravity. As a Texas Ranger, it’s his job to keep San Antonio safe, but the killer always seems to be one step ahead of him.
Meeting Mackenzie, and finding out just how perfect she is for him, wasn’t part of Dax’s plan...but he’ll be damned if he’s going to walk away from the most interesting and fun woman he’s met in a long time. Unfortunately, anyone Dax cares about is suddenly in danger. It’ll take every ounce of knowledge he’s gained from years in law enforcement to keep Mack alive.
Justice for Mickie
For Cruz Livingston, becoming an FBI agent is a lifelong dream, guarding the streets of San Antonio a calling. His latest assignment - infiltrating the Red Brothers Motorcycle Club - will help stem the flow of illegal drugs brought into the city by the violent gang. He expects the job to be dangerous. He doesn’t expect to meet the woman of his dreams while undercover.
Mickie Kaiser is refreshingly sweet, but her sister is intimately involved with the RBMC’s president. Cruz can’t afford to come clean about his double life without putting his operation in danger, but as violence creeps ever closer to Mickie, his priority becomes crystal clear. Cruz will do anything to keep Mickie alive...even if it means losing her love.
Justice for Corrie
Blind since birth, Corrie Madison relies on her other sharpened senses in her job as a chiropractor. Never did she imagine she’d have to depend on them to identify a killer. But when a man enters her practice, murdering everyone in his path, Corrie is the only witness - putting her directly in the killer’s crosshairs.
Officer Quint Axton wasn’t looking for love, or even a relationship, until he meets Corrie. She’s everything he wants - if he can keep her alive long enough to explore their mutual attraction. The threats on Corrie’s life are escalating. Surely a blind person is helpless against a ruthless killer?
Hardly. Corrie is about to prove that disabled does not equal defenseless.
Justice for Laine
Reluctantly taking her best friend’s place at a photo shoot, realtor Laine Parker expects to assist the photographer for the day...not drool over the volunteer model, Westin King. The Texas Ranger and real-life cowboy is hot-on-hot sexy, from the tips of his boots to the top of his Stetson. Despite her visceral reaction to the man, the last thing Laine expects is a whirlwind romance - but that’s exactly what she gets.

4 in 1 perfect
Erin Mallon is a great narrator for these books
In the first book , we have Mackenzie and Dax. Mackenzie is a none stop chatter box and Dax adores her from the start. But this love story is not straight forward, a have a man who takes Mackenzie, loved this one
Second one , We meet Cruz a undercover FBI agent and Mickie who is looking for her sister in a MC. No sugar coating the MC members and MC life. Mickie's idea to look for her sister not the smartest but she meets Cruiz
Third one: This one is really lovely. Corrie is blind and is a very independent strong woman, who Quint falls for. Even though blind Corrie can help in a murder case.
Fourth one may be short but I so love Wes and Laine. When Laine disappears Wes's despair/pain is very clear

Great value
Book 1: Mackenzie and Dax are a sweet couple and the interactions between them are adorable. However, there's a slight feeling that all their personal issues are fixed due to 'true love'. The bad guy is interesting and the desperate search for Mack is heartbreaking. Mack's rambling is hilarious and Dax is a dream come true.
Book 2: This story is simply distasteful. I get that the behaviour of the MC members is horrific, but I don't need a blow-by-blow account of what they're doing. By the time I was half-way through I was skipping whole chapters to get back to Cruz and Mickie. Their relationship is delightful and this part of the story definitely merits 5*. However, the prize for the dumbest decision in history goes to Mickie and I found it completely incomprehensible.
Book 3: The best book of the collection. Corrie and Quint are wonderful characters. Corrie is a strong, independent woman and Quint supports her strength instead of focusing on her lack of sight and feeling it makes her helpless.
Book 4: This one is a short story. Wes and Laine's relationship is basically love/lust at first sight with no angst at all. Honestly, it's a bit too sweet, even though I do like the characters. The desperate search after Laine disappears is moving and Wes's despair is very clear.

Amazing hot heroes and strong women
I absolutely love Susan Stoker books but this is my first time at listening to her audiobooks and I was blown away! Erin Mallon as always does a terrific job of narrating these stories, giving them life and an element of suspense and excitement. Susan's heroes in her stories are some of my most favourite main characters, they seem to bridge the line between alpha, strong, possessive with sensitive, feminist, lovable guys. Her female characters are never simpering, damsels in distress however much they have to go through they always come through it stronger and more likeable than ever. I would love to live in a Susan Stoker world no matter how dangerous it can be!

Read one read them all
The relationships are too fast and always the same. Nice alphas but no development of the characters...Annoying.
