About this listen
Oboist Sara Baron is settling nicely into her new life back in her hometown, but when a friend goes missing under suspicious circumstances, her newfound equilibrium is thrown off balance. The police don’t suspect foul play, but Sara gets a bad vibe when she finds her friend Micah blew off a meeting with his dissertation chair and has been ghosting his girlfriend.
Playing amateur sleuth, she uncovers secrets from Micah’s past which make her wonder if she ever knew her friend at all. Meanwhile, Sara has a secret of her own. One which could change her life forever.

Feeling the vibe
I enjoyed this book. With three possible motives for the murder, as well as suicide, the author certainly keeps you guessing. I had no clue which one was the real motive or who the killer was until it was revealed. There is also a lot going on with the characters home life, adding some drama and surprises but it is so well written that the story flows along nicely and keeps you entertained and wondering what is is going to happen. I like the characters and the unusual job for the main character being an on list have her plenty of time to investigate. Although you don't need to understand music or the orchestra to enjoy. This is the third book in the series (which does work as a standalone) and I hope there are more to come from this talented author.
When a friend doesn't turn up where he is supposed to be or call his girlfriend, she gets worried. She asks her best friend Sara to help find him. Unfortunately the news isn't good and the police think he committed suicide. Sara and his girlfriend don't think that for a minute and start investigating. Can they find his killer? When even the police don't think there is one. The more they look into his death the more secrets they uncover, leaving Sara to wonder just how well she knew her friend and the people around her.
I like the narrator. She helps the story come alive.
