  • Is the Roman Catholic View of Consciousness Biblical? Elizabeth Reacts to Philip Larrey
    Jan 25 2026

Join me as I watch a video and react to what I hear. The video I watch is from the YouTube channel Closer to Truth. Host Robert Lawrence Kuhn interviews Philip Larrey, Ph.D., about the Roman Catholic view of consciousness. Larrey is a Catholic priest and professor of philosophy at Boston College. I encourage you to watch my series "Death & Hell: What Does the Bible Say?" to dive deeper into these topics. The video I watch in this episode: "Philip Larrey - Theories of Consciousness" These reactions are my first-time impressions and are intended for the purpose of education and discussion. I encourage you to search the scriptures for yourself. “They received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11).

  • Is Annihilationism Represented Fairly? Elizabeth Reacts to Ken Ham’s Take on Kirk Cameron
    Jan 13 2026

Join me as I watch a video for the first time and react to what I hear. The video I watch is Ken Ham's response to "the Kirk Cameron controversy" in which Ham shares what a few Christian theologians say about eternal punishment in hell. Ham believes their statements refute annihilationism/conditionalism, now under consideration by Cameron. I detect some flaws in Ham's argument and biblical interpretation, but I add my voice to his call for repentance and belief. This is a topic well worth wrestling with.

I encourage you to watch my series "Death & Hell: What Does the Bible Say?" to dive deeper into these topics.

I was so pleased with the ongoing KJV Podcast that I thought I'd give this a try. Well, it answers questions that I've been searching for. There's lots of Bible references. There are secular references too which are sign-posted if you'd like to dig deeper. A lot of Biblical stuff gets lost in heavy exposition elsewhere. But not here. There's just enough flavour for listeners to dig deeper; the 'message' and flow is not 'bogged down.'
I'm learning so much that I've happily recommended this and posted Podcast links on Twitter. I'm so convinced that the content will change lives.
I'd love to see the content collated into an audio/audible book. it's really engaging. A lot of myths have been dispelled. I actually look forward to the next episode. Please keep them coming - with thanks.

Brilliant, BRILLIANT stuff. I'll continue to share links for these podcasts. They're that good.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant!
