Part Two of my "Rumination"...

After the Hamas massacres of October 7th, 2023, many people who I previously assumed were in "my public", have become seemingly demented. What exactly is it that is confusing to them about the situation? Are we really part of the same public, and is the public sphere here in the west founded on principles that are worth defending?

To come to terms with these questions, I dive into the Israel / Palestine conflict and begin to untangle the problem.
