لكنّها تبدأ بمرجعة الأحداث التي مرّت بها والذكريات الكثيرة التي تملؤ عقلها تمرّ لتكتشف أنَّ ما تحمله لروكامبول ليس سوى حبٍّ دفين..نعم هي تحبه وتشتاق إليه لذا تبدأ بإصلاح غلطتها فتسافر من إنجلترا إلى باريس لتبحث عن أصدقاء روكامبول لمساعدتها في إخراجه من السجن لكنَّ والدها يكتشف ذلك فيرسل خلفها بعض الأشخاص لإيقافها..

تبدو نهاية القصّة قريبة وتفشل ألن في مهمتها حتى يظهر "ليمسوف" في طريقها فيقف إلى جانبها واضعًا حبه المستحيل لها في كفّة وإنقاذ روكامبول في كفةٍ أخرى..ومن الواضح أي كفةٍ سترجح عند التلميذ الوفي..
