  • Summary

  • The Green Room is a place where actors can relax, be themselves and chat freely. This podcast is the same: building on the ease and camaraderie forged on set, Imola Unger interviews actors and filmmakers that she has worked with.

🎉 Launching the Green Room Podcast! 🎉

Here it is, episode one of the Green Room Podcast, an old and long cherished dream of mine. I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Danish actor, model, writer, director, entrepreneur... and my friend. It is thanks to something Lucas said at a wrap party that I finally got my act together and started this podcast. My wise young friend, I hope the end result does justice to the exceptional person you are.

The audio might not be studio quality, but I've finally started going down this road. No one can accuse me of technical procrastination anymore. Special shoutout to sound engineer Csaba Major, who came to my rescue when the off brand earphone audio crapped out.

    About Lucas Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen

And if Lucas looks familiar, that's because you may have seen him portray Rasmus, one of the leads of the popular Netflix series The Rain. You may also recognise him as the tortured character of Krester from the sci-fi hit 1899; or as Magnus, the troublesome environmental activist son of a high-profile politician on Borgen.

    In this episode...

...We talk about life as a child actor, his breakout role in The Rain and the quiet years in-between. We also find out just how long he's been part of the Borgen universe, which is not embarrassing for me AT ALL. We learn about his personal projects, surprising hidden skills, and how he copes with the emotionally, physically and professionally overwhelming task of being a lead on a show.

About me, the host, aka Imola Unger

I am fortunate enough to work with actors and have long wanted to share the camaraderie we experience on set. The bond and ease forged under extreme conditions translates into wonderfully candid conversations. My aim with the podcast is to create the same comfort and safe haven that actors have in the green rooms we set up for them.

Enjoy episode 1 of The Green Room podcast, and subscribe if you don't wanna miss episode 2!
