  • Summary

  • [Watch video here] Mitch Wallis is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Western Bulldogs. Drafted in 2010 under the father-son rule, Mitch’s dad being Footscray legend Stephen Wallis. Known for his versatility and strong work ethic, Mitch debuted in 2011 and became a key player for the team, contributing both as a midfielder and forward. Wallis is recognised for his leadership qualities, he was vice-captain under Marcus Bontempelli, and his resilience, particularly after facing challenges with injuries during his career - Mitch severely broke his leg in 2016 which left him out of the historic Bulldogs' 2016 premiership-winning team, which ended a 62-year premiership drought for the club. After retiring from professional football, Wallis has been working for his family business and is an ambassador for the TAC.

Mitch speaks about the things that have shaped him as a person before and after his sporting career, particularly loss and grief.
