Meanwhile, happily married, Lady Diane Cooper is the darling of London’s high-society. Beautiful and talented, she seemingly has it all. But the strict constraints society assigns her leaves her frustrated, she craves more freedom. With the help of her devoted dresser Susie can she realise her dream?

The start of another great series by Rosie Clarke
I loved this first book in the Dressmakers Alley series. Another brilliant story from this wonderful author. And I really enjoyed the crossovers with the Harpers Emporium and Mulberry Lane books. I'm really looking forward to the next book, which is ready to go on Audible. Lovely narration too. I felt that it really brought the story to life.

A good story spoiled by a bad narration.
The story is good with good plot and characters but it was hard to listen to because it was so badly narrated. It was just “read out loud” and some of the character voices were just not credible.

Easy to listen too too
I have read a lot of Rosie Clarke’s novel’s and really enjoy them . Whilst I enjoyed this one too the narrator spoilt the flow of the story with breaks mid sentence. And delays between sentences so long I thought it was the start of a new chapter. It felt very stilted in places lacking atmosphere.
