Summary

A failing hotel…

With its reputation in tatters, Alexi Ellis is determined to save her beloved Hopgood Hall from any more bad press. A writing course for wannabe journalists shouldn't cause too many issues and will hopefully take the heat off Hopgood Hall...

A shocking death…

But disaster strikes when one of the group is found dead in a local pub. What’s worse Alexi was the last person to see the victim alive, which makes her suspect number one.

A case too close to home?

Alexi is sure she is being set up, but who would go to such deadly lengths? With her reputation and liberty on the line, this is a case Alexi, Jack and Cosmo can’t afford to leave unsolved!

Perfect for fans of Faith Martin, Frances Evesham and Emma Davies.

Another fabulous murder .... so many suspects.

And, yet again I'm left guessing until the very end. Wonderful main characters and suspects, which do I choose? Really enjoyed the series because the misers are not grisly but, the plots beautifully put together and keeps you guessing until the end.

A good solid murder mystery

I am really enjoying this book series and the characters and their relationships. Jack and Alexi are very likable. Alexi's ex is a complete creep! E.V. Hunters writing is solid and the mystery even though had very sad undertones of a horrible dark secret on one side the secret on the other was again sad, and also strangely odd, but interesting... I enjoyed the book and binged it in 3 days. Emma Powell as the narrator is fantastic and her performance is a joy to listen to.

Pleasant continuation of series

Good chick lit with a murder mystery. Murder plot holds well , romance angle semi believable. Series has held, characters and plots work well. Narrator on the whole good . Great book for holidays/ cooking/ knitting / walking. Will continue with the series
