Summary

The number one bestselling YA fantasy by Hafsah Faizal, author of TikTok sensation We Hunt the Flame. Perfect for fans of Peaky Blinders and Leigh Bardugo's Six of Crows.

'A riveting page-turner, A Tempest of Tea is brewed to perfection' – Rebecca Ross, author of Divine Rivals

Join the high-stakes heist into a dark vampire underworld . . .

Arthie Casimir is a collector of secrets. At night her prestigious tearoom transforms into an illegal bloodhouse, feeding the vampires who stalk the streets. But when her livelihood is threatened, Arthie is forced to strike a deal with an unlikely – and frustratingly handsome – ally.

Desperate, Arthie hatches a plan to infiltrate the dark and glittering vampire society. But not everyone in her ragtag crew is on her side, and as the truth behind the heist unfolds, Arthie finds herself in the midst of a conspiracy that will threaten the world as she knows it. For in the vampire-laden streets of White Roaring, things are never as they seem . . .

Dark, action-packed, and swoonworthy, this is Hafsah Faizal better than ever. Don't miss the epic conclusion to the Blood and Tea series in A Steeping of Blood.

'If you like vampires, romance, and kick-ass characters with magic weapons, look no further and you’ll be delighted! - Ali Hazelwood, author of Bride

'Slinky and witty and clever' – Holly Black, bestselling author of The Folk of the Air series

Gave up

was looking forward to listening, but I don't think the author could decide on the actual story line or whether the characters are constantly on heat for each other? as soon as the story starts to pick up again. the characters are gaging for each other.

Excellent!

The Narrator for this book really made the book enjoyable to listen to. I do not think I would have enjoyed the paperback as much, as I was a little confused as where the story was going to at certain times.

Nevertheless, I am excited for the next book. The book is worth listening to in the end. The characters were interesting and they gave Six of Crow vibes.

My first audible DNF.

I feel awful for leaving a not so positive review, but I feel I would have rather been advised about it than not. The narrators voice is lovely, but I just kept phasing out. The amount of times I had to go back to the beginning of a chapter. And then I didn’t know who was talking and about whom. I tried to physically read it too, but I just didn’t feel anything for the characters. This could easily have been a non-fantasy story, the vampires didn’t offer anything fantastical, they could easily just be the mafia… I feel bleurgh for not finishing it. I might try again in the future. But right now, I’m off to do a re-read of something I loved.
